Obituary of Meredith Olver

Meredith Olver (Meloney) passed away surrounded by her family at St. Clare's Hospital in Denville, NJ on March 6, 2019, at the age of 67. Born in Summit, she had lived in Rockaway Township, NJ Meredith earned her Bachelor's degree from Morningside College in Sioux City, Iowa majoring in French with a minor in Library Information Sciences and History. She worked as a librarian for over 40 years beginning in New York City during the 1970's & 1980's, then in Denville and finally in Rockaway Township, NJ. Meredith was had many passions, but none stronger than that of spending time with her family. She was very supportive of everyone in her family and extended family. When she wasn't baking and cooking family meals, she loved to spend her time reading, singing in the church choir, playing the bells in church, volunteering for the United Methodist Women & the Beagle Rescue and spending time at the cottage in New Hampshire, the lake, enjoying the wildlife, plants and flowers around her and of course her dogs. She was predeceased by her parents Rev. Robert E. Meloney in 2008 and Marguerite E. "Gretchen" Meloney in 2009. Meredith is survived by her beloved husband of 40 years, Clark Olver of Rockaway Township, NJ. She is also survived by her loving daughters Caitlin Olver and her fiancé David Stanford of Randolph, NJ and Megan and her husband Matthew Siok of Farmington, CT. Her brother Kirk and his wife Jean Meloney of Center Harbor, NH and her niece & nephew Nathan and his wife Amanda Meloney of Charlotte, VT and Laura Meloney of Medford, MA as well as her great nephews Finnian and Satori and her two Beagles, Sassy and Rusty also survive her. A memorial service will be held at the Denville Community Church 190 Diamond Spring Road Denville, NJ 07834 in the near future, please check back for times & dates.
