John and I are so sorry to hear that you sister Meredith lost her battle with cancer. I did not know her. After reading the obituary about her life, I certainly would have enjoyed the pleasure of knowing her. We had much in common including degrees in Library Science. Jane and John Nash

I came to know Meredith through her daughter, Caitlin, who worked part time at a shop owned by myself and my husband. The shop was IF THE SHOE FITS (now closed).
I'd converse with Meredith when visiting the public library. Meredith was a delight to speak with; very friendly and helpful each time I had occasion to avail myself of her knowledge and assistance.
Most excitedly, during each of those encounters with Meredith our conversations would switch from books to her daughters and the latest happenings in their lives. It was obvious that she loved her family very much. Her face became quite bright and her smile told just how proud she was of them.
I'll truly miss her and our brief talks together. my most sincere condolences, Helen

We will always remember the many years we lived in N.J. and the many holidays we spent with Meredith, her family and the Meloneys at both their house and ours. we always had good food and much laughter. They were our expended family and Meredith like the sister I never had. She so loved all our dogs and cats and they loved her too. Who did not love Ms. Meredith.

Losing a parent is one of the most difficult things in life. No matter how long someone has been sick, it is difficult to accept the reality that you can’t pick up the phone, walk into a room, hear laughter, get advice, share a smile or a passion. Meredith’s joy in you both never dimmed from the moments of your birth to the celebrations of your lives. Cherish the memories. Clark, you know you can count on me for anything from dogsitting to a shared night out. Love to you all during this toughest of times. Ellie

We are so sorry & saddened to hear the news of Meredith. We have known her since we came to DCC in 1973. Her family was the love of her life and her church was her home. We always enJOYed working together on the UMW teas, mother daughter dinners and special church programs. We always shared our January birthdays with beautiful cards and hugs. She has been and will be missed in Bell Choir but I know she is ringing those Heavenly Bells. May the beautiful memories you hold in your heart bring healing and peace to your soul. Dear Clark, Caitln and Megan,
I'm so sorry to hear of Meredith's passing but I'm relieved the difficulty of her physical journey is over. I imagine Gretchen, Bob, Chuck, Marilou and others greeting her with great joy!
As I work on a sermon for Sunday, I came across this quote by J.R. Miller that fits for me as I think of Meredith.
"The only thing that walks back from the tomb with the mourners and refuses to be buried is the character of the person."
Meredith was a woman of great character - faith, love, compassion, integrity and joy - whose imprint on the world and my time at DCC will not be forgotten.
Much love and prayers to you all,
Elaine Wing

My dearest Meredith. I will miss you forever. I will always treasure our friendship and .working together at the Denville Public Library. I always enjoyed our afternoons together at the circ desk. We loved to talk about food and what meals we would be planning for our families. You touched my heart in so many ways and part of it is broken now with our loss of you dear friend. I always remember our birthdays and you would always have a bar of chocolate wrapped to the card with a little ribbon. Meredith I will miss you so much. I love you so much and pray
for your family. It has been an honor to have worked with you, to have know you as a special friend in my life. We were both preachers daughters and had that in common. Our papas and mommas are up there now. I am forever grateful to have known you to have had your friendship in my life . I have cried so hard the last few days but you are now pain free, to suffer no more. I love you, I miss you . My dear Meredith forever. with all my love Linda

I am sorry to hear of Meredith’s passing. Although I now live in North Carolina, I fondly remember Meredith as kind, generous, fair-minded and devoted to her family and friends. I never heard her utter an unkind word about anyone. She was a true woman of faith who “walked the walk.” I especially enjoyed our fellowship in the choirs while I was at Denville Community Church. My heartfelt condolences to her entire family. Rest In Peace, Meredith.

Meredith and I worked together at the Rockaway Township Library for many years.
She loved everything library; books, media, helping patrons, library programs. When helping in the children's room, Meredith made sure that every child went home with something to read. She helped me with puppet shows if I needed an assistant. She even got Caitlin and Megan involved in library activities.
I greatly admired her faith and "never give up" attitude. I will miss her. My condolences go out to her daughters and Mr. Olver
