My heart breaks for this loss... it’s the type of absence only someone like John can leave behind. He was special...one of kind... like no one I’ve ever met...and infectious in the best way possible. So many wonderful memories... lots of laughter... he had this dry, quick wit that few people are able to master. He was straight forward, had great instincts and took care of those around him. He was kind and a good listener. And when he spoke, you listened. How could you not? He had this smooth way of speaking and had this impressive sense of self. I loved him and he will most certainly be missed. I pray that the memories he’s leaving behind help bring peace to those who loved him.
Amy, Becky, Brian and Barbara, I love you and am thinking of you all.

Sometimes he would call me Sister (family nickname) and sometimes he would call me Carolyn (his sister) but whenever we spoke on the phone, I never met anyone who could get off the phone as fast as him.
Gotta go Sister...click

I’m so sorry for your loss Montuori family. But I will never forget his trips to cheshire home in those crazy evenings bringing us something to eat or coffee. Also when mike had the heart attack I was overwhelmed! It was spring and the garden needed to be planted. He gave us Rago for the day and said just give him lunch. Yes John Montuori had a big heart!

I was introduced to this outrageous man & family when I started dating and later married his niece Paula. There are way toooooo Many memories in the past 30 yrs(I know long time) to even list any of them here. Mainly because 99.999% of them were almost well, We All know ;) but funny as all get out. There was never ever a lack of laughs when John was around, or a chin that did not hit the floor or even crying with laughter with just about everything that came out of his mouth. They definitely broke the mold with John Montuori, and the best of him lives on in his amazing kid's. I am privileged to have known and shared amazing memories with them all as a family unit. Spending many times together and not a minute with out a chuckle or 20.
Rest easy John and you did what you do best "The Irish Exit"!!

Will miss our crazy conversations. First story comes to mind is when uncle Johnny would come to watch us & would send pizza delivery to our neighbors & we would watch from living room window as they pointed to our house. Gone too soon. Condolences love & light. Rest in peace with grandma grandpa aunt Carolyn & uncle Tony.

There are so many stories. Here's just one that came to mind right away. We had just bought our home and were deciding whether or not we wanted to replace the sheetrock in one of the rooms. He stopped by while we were in the middle of the discussion, and at some point, without a word, he went out to his truck, got a claw hammer, sunk it into the wall, and pulled out a big section of the wall. "There, now you're remodeling." Then he left.
