Dear Donna & Family, I'm so sorry to hear of Peters passing. So sad that he didn't get to enjoy his retirement. I'm so glad you got to have the wonderful vacation with the family only weeks ago. I'll miss seeing Peter when I walk the dogs past the house. Cherish the memories forever.

To the entire Lyden family, my deepest condolences. I will always remember the good times we had working, the few times he had invited me over for gatherings, the catfish tournament, a party for one of the daughters at the clubhouse and most recently when Bryan had people over a few weeks ago at his house with a few other friends. A special moment for me was a couple of months ago, I had stopped over and just him and I sat on the front porch and just basically talked about everything. That will always stick out in my mind. He was special man, I will miss him. RIP Pete, until we meet again.

Some people leave a considerable footprint in your life, and how you reflect on memories. Pete was one of those people, making a very positive mark on mine and others. He coached Pete and I at esu and devoted many nights and weekends to help our team develop. The Lydens make everyone feel like family.
Truly a special guy. All the best from the Grann family.

Peter was one of the really good guys. We were born in the same year and both brought up in Indian Lake. We played football together and right next to each other on the line. Some of my favorite thing we did together was playing in the Turkey Bowl on Thanksgiving morning up at Morris hills. Turkey Bowl was a touch football game played by ex Knolls players.
My fondest memories were of he and Donna having their children. He was such a great dad. He also kept an eye on my mother who lives in the neighborhood.
We worked together as contractors. Never heard a bad word about him. I'll miss you.

Heartfelt sympathies to Pete’s entire family!!
I was one of the fortunate ones to meet Pete on a day of a LS bass tourney. As it turned out he was as fun as Pete junior and prove a solid winner on the water as well!
You are all in my thoughts and prayers during this truly sad time.

So sad to hear of this terrible news. Even though it was years and years ago, i think pretty often of two convos with Pete that still infuse me with laughter and happiness: One when he called me at work to make me read out loud to him the story in the star ledger which quoted his son peter about how he really knew if the IL ice was thick enough to skate on. I had to convince big Pete that day not to kill his own son. And the second was the day he started working for the town. He called me at my office in New York to ask me how my commute was that day. After I whined about my 2 hour typical nightmare commute, Pete signed, said “Yeah, me too. I missed that light on 46 and it doubled my commute time to 5 1/2 minutes.” He waited 3 months patiently to time that call perfectly. Never met a man prouder of his family than Pete. Condolences to Donna and peter and the rest of the clan. Rest In Peace, my friend
