For some reason I thought of the first dance school I attended. Bal-Zac and Misty Morn. That was probably around 1970? Perhaps 1971. I was around 8 or 9 years old. I was encouraged to participate in a pageant and I was promoted for my advance ballet skills with an older dancer. I am forever in gratitude for that opportunity and have never forgotten those years. My condolences to Bill's daughter, Denise, and all the dear friends and family of Bill Hendricks. He was a wonderful man and I enjoyed getting to know him as a customer at the Costume Shop. At the time, I was working in filmmaking and had a keen interest in vintage clothes and wardrobe, so visited Bill and Misty Morn at the shop, ongoing, for several months. It was during those visits Bill would proudly shared with me about his work in radio and theater. After the shop closed-for-good, we continued to stay in touch over occasional coffee chats and phone calls. He was always pleased to share about his work with Charter Bus Tours and learning keyboard, and was always eager to hear about my family as well as any career updates. When I last saw him, it was after his lifetime creative partner Misty Morn had passed and it was heartbreaking to see the sadness in his eyes. I will miss my friend Bill Hendricks very much and his presence in the Denville area. We were lucky to know you, Bill Hendricks!

Condolences to all of Balzac’s family for the loss of such a wonderful patriarch. I do not remember a time when I did not know who Balzac was, he was always a kind, warm presence at the Studio and Misty’s partner in business and fun.
