Dear Betty and Family,
So sorry to hear of Tony’s passing; please accept our sincere condolences.
Tony was a “one-of-a-kind” fun-loving guy and, while it has been a few years since he last attended our reunion for Pope Pius XII HS, we fondly remember his efforts in coordinating some of the early reunions. May he rest in peace. We will all miss him.

With apologies to Edna St. Vincent Millay —
Your candle burnt at both ends,
It did not last the night.
But, oh, your friends, and oh, your foes,
It gave a lovely light.

Betty, Lori, Tommy and family,
My deepest heartfelt condolences to you all. I was deeply saddened to hear this horrible news. I have so many fond memories of our time together at Baron Drugs. He loved listening and singing to the oldies at work. He was always smiling, loved playing practical jokes and had a great sense of humor. He sure did have nicknames for everyone... mine was “Yo Doreen”. I’m praying for your entire family. RIP Tony. I will be away and unfortunately will not be able to attend the service.

Dear Betty, Lori, Tommy, and Family,
Today, my heart is heavy with sorrow and my whole being with numbness..
However, I vow that the next time I encounter a rainbow on the horizon, I will be filled with a lightness and a conflagration of hope knowing that my life has been enriched and colored beautifully by having been blessed each Friday morning when we broke open the Scriptures together and recognized Jesus in Word and Sacrament.
To you, Tony, I dedicate this poem:
God's Spectrum
A spark! A flame! and life begins again.
If we diffuse the gifts of God to men..
Our lives are prisms; made to capture light
And color other lives, immersed in night.

Dear Betty and Family,
I have lost my best friend, my brother. We shared many happy days in Dad and Mom's store, at Church, with the Ricciardi's: Ron, Ray, and Bob, at the bowling alleys, and of course, Yale Bowl, Shea Stadium, and Giants Stadium where we watched the Giants rise from the worst in the NFL to the Super Bowl Champions.
We also shared some not so great times as we discovered the diagnosis of MS would add more pain to those many knee operations he suffered. The loss of our Mother and Father was another painful time we shared. In spite of everything he suffered, he took a positive attitude toward the loss of his ability to walk and got a scooter, then his special van so he could get where he had to go. He has now gone home to rest with God where there is no more pain, no more MS.
Michael
