Dear Susan,
I will treasure the time spent with you and Jack when Mario and I visited several months ago. It was wonderful to catch up and reminisce about all of the times we spent together at your house. Jack was a special man and will be greatly missed.

Please accept my deepest condolences on Jack's passing. I work for a company that has done a lot of work for Independent and anytime I was on site doing work he always made it a point of coming over, shaking my hand and having conversation. He was a true gentleman, never making feel that I was just someone doing work for him. Not only have I done work with him with my current company but with my own company for years before and he was always the same. It will not be the same at Independent without him. I considered him a friend. May he rest in peace and I am very sorry for the loss for all of us.

When I think of Uncle Jack a huge smile comes to me. Uncle Jack had a smile that lit up the world and was accompanied by a beautiful laugh. Upon first meeting Uncle Jack one could be frightening by his size. He had no patience for bad service at a restaurant or unruly children. However, this man of great mass was a HUGE Teddy Bear. He gave the best hugs and was one of the warmest men I have had the privilege to know. He only demanded from others what he expected from himself. He gave more in life than he received. I hold many cherished memories of visits with him and Sue along with our recent visit this May 2019. I'll never forget our favorite "Sambuca test", sampling hot dogs from various restaurants on the same day, sleigh riding with the kids at the school, watching him eat salad out of a HUGE serving bowl, espresso mornings and chatting at the kitchen table with him during the day and evenings. The man that is bigger than life is now resting peacefully and I know Heaven just received the best angel ever! RIP Uncle Jack. We love you and miss you but will always cherish the wonderful gift of time you gave us. Love your niece Ileane.

Very saddened over the loss of our good friend Jack.
We've known Jack since the early 70's and had a lot of laughs together, especially over our mutual love of bread and many many dozens of mussels.
He was always the perfect gentleman and a pleasure to be in his company.
We will miss him immensely. Our most heartfelt condolences to Jack's family.

Sorry for all lost. Jack was a good ma. I worked for him when I just turned 18; he was a great Father figure to me. I loved and admired this man. I wore my measuring tape on my belt no matter where I was going. So upset I will not make it to say good-bye, I will not be in town. My heart is heavy. Love you Mr. Santa Lucia. I am in tears right now.

My fondest memories of my brother Jack were when we were growing up.
On Sundays we would go to church and he would always want me to comb his hair. He looked so cute in his suit. Then, it was off with mother and dad to see the grandparents. On the way home, in the evening, he was tired and would lay his head in my lap and go to sleep.
If the kids in the neighborhood teased him or picked on him, he'd tell them his big sister would beat them up. They were afraid off me because I was 5 years older then
my brother.
When I was dating Len, my husband, he would spy on us to catch us kissing.
I will miss him and treasure him in my heart.
