Uncle Terry made a huge impact on my life. We would always have conversations about life and he would always tell me how much Jesus loves me. He has given me a lot of advice and I admired him a lot. I’ll miss him so much but I know that he is where he is meant to be.

I was looking for another obituary and was saddened to see this gentle face. It will always be the face of my favorite square dancer dad in brownies/girls scouts that was not my own. It was awkward to be passed off to each others dads while do-si-do'ing, but this man always immediately made me feel at ease with his kind and gentle way. Very obscure and random memory, but i felt obligated to share...
Wishing peace to all the Blanchards' and their families....

Uncle Terry was a blessing in my life and I am grateful we had recently spent time together. Seeing his contagious smile & feeling his warm hug one last time is a memory I will always hold in my heart.
Uncle Terry was the most amazing person I have ever known -- He was a father figure in my life and without his support & love, I cannot imagine where my life would be today. His amazing character, teachings, and lessons is something I will cherish forever and share with my children. His love and life lessons is a major ingredient that shaped me into the young man I am today, and without his fatherly direction & guidance, it is impossible to imagine where my life would be. Because of his positive influence in my life, I am blessed to have married my soulmate and best friend.
Uncle Terry was always so mindful, enjoying your presence and quality time spent together in that moment, creating a unique & loving bond with everyone around him. He was such an inspiration and someone you would strive to make proud. He truly made you want to be the best person you can be, and I learned so much by his actions, kindness, and love of God.
He taught me that with hard work & the Lord by your side, that anything can be achieved. He taught me that true happiness in life is having a family to love. He taught me to be thankful for each new day God graced us with, to always live life like Christ is alongside you, because He is there even if you cannot see Him. He taught me to appreciate God’s almighty beauty & creation, and to follow goodness by spreading love & joy to everyone around you. He taught me to be thankful to the Lord at the dinner table through prayer thanking Him for the food on our table, the roof over our head, and for our good health.
So many great memories with Uncle Terry I will always remember: Family Dinners around the dining table which began with his prayer to the Lord, his carrot salad secret family recipe that I still make to this day, watching thunderstorms on the front porch while eating saltine crackers w/ butter, letting us build a dirt bike track in the back yard & playing street hockey in the front driveway, campfires & smores while camping at Tuscarora, Survival skills (especially night time cat fishing) & hunting, Family gatherings to celebrate birthdays & Holidays (playing Alice’s Resturant), And most recently, joining Sara & I at our wedding to celebrate our marriage.
Thank you for embracing me into your family as one of your own. Thank you for being an amazing role model and teaching me the principles needed for building a strong family foundation full of love, happiness, and God. You led your life by example teaching me how every father, husband, and friend should act, and for this I am forever thankful.
You will always be in my heart. It has been so hard to accept your passing, but I know you are now a soldier of God in heaven, and an Angel watching over us here on earth.
I will miss you so much. I love you Uncle Terry.

I met Terry late in 2005 when we had both recently moved to Florida. We attended the same church. For a few months we would regularly meet early in the morning for coffee and fellowship, and he constantly encouraged me with testimonies about God's grace in his life, and with the precious words of Scripture. He also invited my family over to the house for a pancake breakfast. He and Jean were so kind and hospitable. Those were special times and I am grateful that the Lord gave me the gift of Terry's friendship. He had a great sense of humor and never complained about his waning health. He only spoke of his love of the Lord and God's mercy toward him. I can almost see him now as he is rejoicing in the presence of the Lord. I was glad to know him and look forward to the day we meet again.

I first met Terry when I was I high school. My car needed a new starter but knowing I didn’t have the money to fix it, Terry was generous with his time and showed me a work around to get me by until it could be repaired. He was genuinely pleased to pass on some knowledge and spend his time helping.
Terry was a great example of a Godly man who was quick to love and welcome a new friend into his family. Old age is a blessing and Terry’s faithfulness was miraculously blessed with extended years with his family and friends.
My condolences to the family, he will be missed.

Terry was the prime example of what the Lord can do with a life that is given over entirely to Him. Terry did just that; and the ripple effect of his life will live on forever.
He will live on in his love for the Lord and others. Not only his own family, but in all the people and families that the Lord touched through him.
Terry loved much, and forgave often.
I am so grateful for the Godly example of both Terry and Jean in my own life, as well as my children's lives. We would have been lost without them.
I know after Terry's last breath here on earth, his next first breath was in heaven with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He is with the God he lived for.
Terry, you will be sorely missed here. But; we know in our hearts, that as believers, we will all be together at the "Great Wedding Feast", in heaven with our Lord.
God bless you Terry! Thank you for giving to the Lord through your love. It lives on!
Love you! Your Sister in law;
and Sister in Christ,
Diana

Terry and Jean were part of a regular small group that met in our house for years in Florida. Terry was always encouraging and positive no matter what He was going through or what we were going through. In other words he was an encourager. Very faithful to peoplel. He loved Jesus. Jesus was the treasure of his heart and that is why he had so much love for everyone else. Like the scripture says of his people , he was salt and light. Terry was salt (he gave flavor to life and preserved live) and he was light ( he brought goodness in a dark world). My wife and I were privileged to know him.

My Uncle Terry was one of my angels in my life. He, and my Aunt Jean, were always welcoming me into their home and lives like I am one of their own. I was not one of their 7 but they never made me feel loved any less. Through their blessings they showed me the meaning of family and most important the love of Christ.
Uncle Terry was the only Godly man I ever had in my life. He showed me how a man of God loves his wife as his queen and is always 100% loyal and faithful. He also showed me how a man of God raises his children with love, discipline and guidance, and most important - doesn’t leave.
With out him and my Aunt Jean - I don’t know where I’d be in life today. Their kindness and hearts brought me to church; let me sing the “Appleseed song” with them at dinner time; showed me how to pray; introduced me to their favorite Christian camp at Tuscurora; and showed me the difference between a life with Christ compared to all the lives with out. It wasn’t always easy - but in the end they always ended up winning because they still had each other.
From beetle buses to soap in the creek - the life long impact of this man will never be forgotten to me.
I’m so blessed that I was able to say a final good bye in his last days - I kissed him on his forehead and just told him how much I loved him. His response couldn’t have been more perfect to me. “I know,” he said, “I know.”
I love you Uncle Terry. Forever in my heart.

I feel like I have known the Blanchard’s my whole life. I remember Terry and Jean vaguely when I was very young from the Presbyterian Church we attended. I remember Jean always being pregnant and Terry, when I first met him, telling me his name was “Uncle Terry” to all. That was just for a very short time though and I was just a kid. Many years later in high school, Robin and I became best friends and I just naturally became another one of their family. Every holiday, birthday, and Tuscarrora family camp trip they took, I was there with them. Terry was the example of the Christian father I needed to see and I loved him dearly and love this family as my own. I won’t ever forget the impact he had on me and can’t wait until I see him again in Glory ☺ Love to all of you, and I wish, very much that I could be there with you to celebrate his life! Oh,—someone else mentioned his hugs—yes, those big hugs with the scratchy beard--and him telling me how much he loved me and how special I was—I won’t forget them either!
