Please share a memory of David to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

David M. Leach, Randolph

“World’s Most Amazing Father”

David Leach passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, January 11th following a courageous clash with dementia.  He shared 55 years of love and adventure with his family and friends.  A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, January 16th at 11am at the Norman Dean Home For Services, 16 Righter Ave, Denville.  Interment to follow at St. Teresa’s Cemetery, Summit.  Visiting hours will be held on Monday, January 15th from 4-8 pm.  Please share your memories with his family at www.normandean.com.  They will cherish them forever.

Dave was born in March of 1962 to Murray and Marie Leach.  He graduated Randolph High in 1981 and went on to have a successful career and a beautiful life. Dave was a huge sports fan.  After a successful first date at a Dallas - Giants game, he knew he had found “the one”.  He married Joanne Cook in 1994 and soon after the couple started a family. He was the proudest Dad to his son Christopher and five years later, was crowned “world’s most doting one” when his daughter Jenna came along.  His family was his universe and his children his light.  He loved playing hockey, but especially with Christopher.  He loved giving advice and coaching the kids- whether it be on a softball field, in an ice rink, or at the kitchen table with life lessons.  He made sure they always knew how much they were loved.  They have been and always will be his greatest achievements.

Dave was a talented carpenter and was always upgrading his home.  He couldn’t sit still, had a sharp mind, and was most intelligent.  Dave was a social guy.  He was liked and loved by so many.  His successful career in sales was possible because of his dynamic character.  He has been described this week as the “kindest, most loving man”, and as an “amazing Father”. These loving and wonderful qualities are how he will be remembered. Although his time here with us was all too short, we take comfort in knowing he is at peace and is watching over us all in this journey called life.

He leaves a lifetime of beautiful memories to his devoted wife Joanne (nee Cook) of 23 years; his adored children Christopher and Jenna; his Mother Marie Leach; sister Marilyn Marzzacco (Gordon); brothers Mark (Donna), Stephen, and Michael (Nicole); and so many more dear relatives, friends and colleagues.  His Father Murray Leach passed previously.

GO Devils.
