Obituary of Julia Shelley Eckhard

Julia Eckhard (Shelley) passed away at Compassionate Care Hospice in Dover, NJ on March 7, 2015.
She was 94 years old.
Born in York, PA she lived in Whippany from 1953-1980, then in Morris Plains until 2013 when she moved to Chatham, NJ.
Julia studied music at the Peabody in MD. She worked as a teacher for the Hanover Township Board of Education until she retired.
She was predeceased by her husband Charles Maxwell Eckhard in 1961, her son Rogers Eckhard in 1952 and her sister Hazel Miller in 1992.
Julia is survived by her children Charles & Anita Eckhard of DE, Jeffrey & Judy Eckhard of Denville and Deborah & Andrew O'Connor of Florham Park, NJ. Her grandchildren J.D. Eckhard, Shannon O'conor Bock, Alison Donde, Caitlin Rossi and Ashley Pilger and her great grandchildren Taylor Bock, McKenna Eckhard, Gray Eckhard, Andrew Bock and Carleigh Rossi also survive her.
A memorial service under the direction of Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave Denville, NJ 07834 will be held at the First Presbyterian Church in Whippany, NJ on Saturday March 21, 2015 at 10:30AM on Friday March 20, 2015.
In lieu of flowers please make donations in her memory to Compassionate Care Hospice of Dover, NJ or to the charity of your choice.
