My mother was Virginia Lord Justice Keim - one of the close knit gang of gals (as I called them) who grew up together and kept in close touch - Julia, Rebecca, Betty and mom. I talked with Barbara Spurgin (Betty’s oldest) today and she told me that Julia passed in March. Also, that Rebecca passed this fall. Betty is the last one of that group, and I miss them so much. One of the last times Julia was visiting Betty and my mother (Virginia Lord Justice Keim) and Bud were still living in Accokeek (we had moved to Florida), Mom and I visited with them, and I left her with them for two days and a night – they had such a fun time. I did too. I plan to visit Betty, Barbara, Evelyn and all when we drive up at the end of June/early July. I'm so sorry - Julia was so sweet and fun. I have many fond memories of her with Betty and my Mom, who passed four years ago.

It sadden me to hear about your mom. I have so many great memories of her with my mom and Marge King. At this time I know the pain you all are feeling but I have comfort knowing that the three ladies are together looking for a fourth for the bridge game, and my dad is also there to escort them around. Take care and may God bless you all and your mom.

It was a privilege to have known "Jules" as long as we did. I remember my first impression of this beautiful woman who wore this incredible turquoise jewelry. I thought this is an interesting, smart lady that I would like to chat with. And chat we did!!! I loved her stories, I loved how much she loved her family, I loved how she always was interested in our life. I had great respect for this woman who suffered great losses and yet never let that define her. She moved on and was able to love, teach and care about so many. The pain she suffered was never on her sleeve. We are sorry for your loss, it is a part of life to lose our parents yet never easy. You all were blessed to have had this woman call you family.
