Sorry I wasn't able to come. I wil miss you and remember you, forever. Not only did I lost a very dear friend, but a great colleague, a fellow hunter, foodie and a brother.
I will miss our endless talks, walks in the forest and your crazy laughter on my not so funny jokes.
If love alone could have kept you here, you would have lived forever.
Farewell Roberto.

My husband Jason and I were lucky enough to move across the street from Roberto, Maribel and Roberto Jr. They were incredibly welcoming and we became fast friends. We only had 2 years living in NJ but consider it an honor to have had the chance to know this incredible family. Senior, as Maribel & I would refer to him, was funny and kind and his love for his wife and son was a sight to behold. We treasure our time knowing him, we share his adoration of Maribel and are so proud to know Jr, who is such an impressive young man. Much love, Alex and Jason Franchi

I met Roberto about nine years ago. It was during dinner on a hunting trip. I met him through a mutual friend Ben De Clemente. He seemed quiet and reserved. It might be because Benny and I could melt the ears off a brass monkey. Then magic! I told a joke and Roberto burst out laughing, that beautiful infectious laugh. As they say the rest is history. We continued to share our love for bird hunting. Trips to Partridge Run, Buttonwood, and our last trip to Mountainview in November. Our 3-hour rides to Middleburgh were filled with discussions of politics, family, life in general, and of course a stop at Starbucks. Roberto was not the type to share deep thoughts with me, but he did share two with me. Maribel was the love of his life and best friend. Secondly, he was very proud of his son Roberto for becoming a fine responsible and hardworking young man.
Roberto, when I step into the field on those cool crisp mornings in October with Sadie and Belle at my side, you will always be at my side too.
Rest in Peace my friend, Spero

Roberto was a man who poured love into everything he did, especially for his family—his beloved wife Maribel and his son Roberto Jr. They were his pride and joy, and his face would light up whenever he talked about them. But one of the most memorable ways Roberto showed his love was through his grilling. He wasn’t just good at it—he was the “Grill Master.” Whenever Roberto saw a grill, he was determined to cook something delicious, whether it was for his family, and his friends.
I’ll never forget the day he visited our house and noticed our backyard fireplace, which is over a century old. Without hesitation, he declared, “This summer, we’re going to cook steaks on that grill!” I thought he was crazy, but a few weeks later, Roberto and Maribel showed up, steaks and charcoal in hand. He worked his magic and somehow figured out how to fire up that old fireplace. The joy on his face as he grilled that day was unforgettable. I will always cherish the memory of his excitement and the smell of those steaks cooking as we all gathered around, laughing and enjoying the moment.
Roberto’s passion for food was more than just a skill—it was his way of bringing people together and creating lasting memories. I will miss those summer nights in the backyard, grilling with my buddy, sharing stories and laughter. Rest in peace, Roberto. You left a mark on all of us, and your warmth and spirit will always be remembered. With all our love the Kipp family

I only met Roberto a few times but we shared a bond over engineering and the love of learning and wondering about the way things worked. Me and my family spent an evening at his house and it is a great memory of awesome food, laughter and kindness from Roberto and his wife. They were so kind to my kids that it was moving to me. I also had the privilege of Roberto showing me a few of his childhood gadgets that he built as a young beautiful engineering mind and I loved it and i think he did too. We could both tell that our hearts were glowing and our minds were sparked by the love of learning and exploring the unknown. We then sat down and had a long discussion of many things from politics, to religion, to space, to the meaning of life! The entire time there was no anger, no judgment, no malice, just understanding and wonder. I will never forget that evening and I look forward to having another conversation with Roberto when we meet again and I believe we will. Rest in peace my friend and please know that I will help your son in anyway that I could. He is a good soul just like you and your wife.
