Brian and I worked together for 7 years at NBTHS. He was a friend, a colleague, a strong support of the students.
He was the kind of counselor who always put the student first, and went to bat for the underdog.
Parents respected him, and other teachers knew him to he a straight shooter.
He loved his work, and was good at it! He was a special educator.

Dr. Clifford was both a wonderful guidance counselor and a kind hearted man. I graduated in 84 and he helped both with with the grief of losing my mom in 1983 and navigating college and scholarship applications. I'm so sorry to hear of his passing. NBTHS was very lucky to have him.

I went to Stokes as a chaperone for many years! Brian loved sharing his knowledge of the outdoors with the younger kids and seeing them as preteens before meeting them again at NBTHS! Brian was calm, caring, and patient with the kids. They really felt listened to and respected and they returned that respect to “Doc”! He was a great guy! May he rest in peace! Sending my deepest sympathy to Deb and his family!

Brain was my counselor and might I say, friend, when I was a student at NBTHS and beyond. Many times when things were not going well, I took refuge in his office to chat and decompress. A great listener and a superb giver of advice and comfort, he touched many lives for the better. Compassion can make a difference in anyones life and Brian possessed it in abundance. May his memory forever be a blessing.

I graduated from NBTHS in 1986 and he was my guidance counselor. This man truly cared and made sure that I stayed on track to graduate. Always checking in and always being an advocate when I needed one. Thankful for his positive influence in my life. I carried his wisdom through college and into life. He truly made the world a better place.

He was my Guidance Counselor in HS. He did everything humanly possible to help me graduate. I may not have been the greatest student at the time and in all honesty, probably undeserving of his efforts. I did eventually make it to college and passed the CPA exam, so his efforts were not in vain. My condolences to his family.

I was so fortunate to first meet Brian in the summer of 1964. We were both counselors at an overnight camp, Camp Paradox, in the Adirondack mountains. I enjoyed his wit, his maturity, his perceptions, his wonderful sense of humor during the four summers at Paradox. He touched so many campers' lives as he was at Paradox through the summer of 1970. Many years later, he was a Guidance Counselor at North Brunswick (NJ) High School, where my kids attended. They always spoke so fondly about Brian- and for good reason. I really enjoyed having dinner with Brian in Mid-June with a bunch of other Camp Paradox alumni, and he was truly the star of the dinner. May his memory be for a blessing. I will miss him.
