I have so many memories of Phyllis! ALWAYS A LADY, she LOVED her husband and family. Her wonderful smile, her beautiful voice, her sense of humor, her laugh. The Ladies' Meetings, the church dinners, the Old Fashioned Day outfits and singing in the Choir. Her genuine kindness and caring for others. The encouraging words as well as her setting the example of a Godly woman. She is very much loved and will be terribly missed. Prayers for all the family and friends whose lives were blessed by this dear woman of God.

Phyllis was such a shining light in our world.
She "washed the feet of strangers and friends alike."
We were so grateful for her listening heart and wisdom in praying for others and counseling as the Holy Spirit dwelt in her to touch lives in such a magnficent way.
My prayer is that I ask the Lord to remind me consistently to pray for you, Ed, and be strengthened in the prayers of others and that HE may find us faithful to pray, reach out, and love others....as Phyllis did.

Phyllis was a kind and caring woman. Although I did not belong to her church she always welcomed me when my sister Jean Stitz invited me to attend functions. I remember the tea that was held in May she spoke to me for a long time and asked me to accept Jesus which I did. My faith was shaken for many years. But after meeting this amazing woman it was restored.

What an amazing godly woman Phyllis was. Her hospitality, her faithfulness to Pastor Ed, her family, faith and church are to be emulated. I remember all the Saturdays cleaning the church, including the bathrooms, with Phyllis. She had a wonderful sense of humor. She will truly be missed.

I remember Phyllis, always doing things for the church, singing and uplifting the Lord with her voice, always smiling when Pastor would reference her. When I think of strong Christians that others can look up to, she comes to mind. The Symak family is grateful to have met, known and had fellowship with her. Such a wonderful person!

Phyllis was a wonderful woman of God. I remember when we first visited the church during the Fall festival with my kids, she made a point to meet us and talk to us about the Church. She was very welcoming and still made us feel welcomed each and every Sunday. I will surely miss her voice in the choir especially the last song they sang while she rehearsed some Bible verses. My kids and I will truly miss her.

There are no words... none that can be expressed. My heart and prayers are with you all, especially Pastor Ed. The love I have for Miss Phyllis will always remain and same goes for my favorite Pastor. Miss Phyllis was a true servant of our LORD and SAVIOR. It provides us the peace that passes all understanding knowing that she is now face to face with JESUS!
I pray that I can be at least one-tenth of the woman and servant of GOD that she was. I have learned so much from her just by being in her presence. She was a classy lady and always set an example for all of us how to walk in the light of GOD.
I will also always remember her snarky, hilarious side that would make me laugh when no one else was watching.
I am standing in the gap and lifting you all up at this time. May JESUS wrap you all in HIS loving arms at this most difficult time and always. GOD bless!

I will always remember Phyllis for her beautiful singing voice. She always sang a song in church called The Body and The Blood. She most often sang it around Easter. It speaks about how Jesus gave his body and blood for us: for our sins. Phyllis wanted nothing more than to share this testimony with others. Her songs would always make me cry with joy. Just one week before she died she sang Wonderful, Merciful Jesus in church. It was a true gift to hear her sing such a special song one last time for us. And now she is singing before her Savior in Heaven for all of eternity. Hallelujah! We love you Phyllis.

Friends are friends FOREVER when the LORD is THE LORD of them...this reminder gives us CONFIDENT HOPE of a better tomorrow.
Phyllis was one of just a few of my core confidante that I could share any burden and she would redirect me to His Throne of Mercy and grace.
She was gracious, sacrificial, and such a Servant leader of her church and community.
We, your extended family from Meadows church in Plano, Texas, will be praying for your Comfort by The Comforter and may you and your family know she left footprints on every heart she touched, hands she held, and eyes she looked into to give hope and healing in Jesus' Name.
We love you each one and will stand in the gap as you grieve yet rejoice of the heritage of Biblical love and grace left behind...
A true Proverbs 31 gal.

While we were home on furlough Bro. and Mrs. Walls came to Hallmark Baptist Church to candidate for the senior pastor position. Mrs. Walls had on a pretty yellow dress and sang a beautiful special number—“His Eye Is On the Sparrow”. She was such a sweet lady and pastor’s wife. We will miss her. Phyllis was a tremendous pastor’s wife, but what I remember most about her was her friendship with my mother, Mary Hix Mullins. My Mom loved Phyllis and Phyllis loved her back. I will always be grateful to her for that. I know they are even now enjoying one another and their Savior. - Lyndel Hix
