So many wonderful memories with Sandie playing cards (she was my queen of hearts), weddings, epic Halloween parties, movies & dinner with the girls, meeting up in Orlando and so much more...ALWAYS smiling, laughing and enJOYing life. I don't ever remember seeing her angry, and being in her presence was so uplifting and fun! I will miss her dearly until we meet again.

Sandy was a good tennis player who was patient with those of us who weren’t. She brought laughter and fun to the court. I always remember that huge and clever Halloween party she threw years ago for her large circle of family and friends despite not being well.
What courage, grace, and wit she showed throughout.
She will be missed.

To Stan & Lori - I’ll never forget our Indian Princess’ nights at your house. We all (including our dads) running around your house like heathens. Sandie just laughed with us and made us hot chocolate! She’s awesome and a joy!
You all are in my thoughts and prayers, Colleen Brodie

To Lori, family, friends and loved ones. It’s been only 3 short months since I’ve known you, and already consider you a dear and close friend. My only wish is that our paths had crossed sooner so that I would have had the privilege of meeting your mom Sandie. Though we never met in person it’s apparent she touched so many lives in such a positive way! One could easily tell we lost not only just a mother, a wife, a grandmother, a friend,, but so much more! I know that to say to have known your mom was to say I was truly blessed! May she Rest In Peace and may her eternal spirit shine within the hearts of you and your entire family!

One of the greatest gifts God gives us in life is a woman like Sandie. As someone that knew her as a personal friend, to say she "Loved her Family and Lived an amazing Life" is an understatement. She was always engaged in "something". She was always active and entertaining, reading a great book, playing games, making great recipes, teasing Stan, loving her children and her grand babies, traveling four corners of the Earth, and making you LAUGH. She never revealed her struggles and she was a fighter with a beautiful attitude. Sandie was a beautiful woman. Both inside and out. She will be deeply missed, but I know she's waiting for us in heaven and saving us all front row seats LOL. My warmest wishes of comfort to her family and the greatest of memories to everyone that knew her!

Almost 50 years ago Stan was digging a trench to get electric to the cottage from the main house. It was late November and the ground was freezing. The project was going slowly and tenants were do the next day. Sandie stepped to the rescue. No she did not get a shovel - she got a phone and called a friend and “conned” him to bring a shovel and the project got done. Years later that same Sandie was fun loving and teasing on New Years Eve. I will always remember her brains and beauty.

to me
Dear Stan, Tom and I were saddened to hear of Sandie's passing. Her journey was long and arduous, andshe traveled each step with courage, determination, and grace. I only hope that I have half that courage. Unfortunately I don't think I'll be able to attend the memorial on Monday, as my energy level at present is near zero, and I am avoiding crowds. Know that we are with youn in spirit, and that you and your family are in our prayers.
Memories, as they say, I have a few. Only you and Sandie could pull off a Halloween party in an ice storm with no electricity!
I think one of my favorite stories is about the "Booga Booga" man! I think it was on your honeymoon! The other not so funny episode was when Sandie dislocated her hip replacement in a small B&B. I think it was in New Hope, and the stairway was too small for the stretcher! Memories I will always think of and smile.
Believing in a hereafter, I think Sandie is now in a better place, and I wll think of her there often.

I sent this text to .Sandie on the morning she died, not realizing she had already passed..
Good Morning, friend.
I have been keeping up with news of your health from Karen and Susan. Yes, it isn't fair. After all your successes with treatments for lung cancer and conquests over covid, it seemed as if you possessed some miraculous kind of nine lives.
I want you to know that I treasure my friendship with you. From those early days in the Tennis club through the discovery that you played bridge, too, to the most recent games across the bridge table, I always looked forward to our meetings. The last few years, I missed you on the tennis court, as the players frequently asked, "How is Sandie doing?" But I was the fortunate one to be able to be with you at our bridge games!
You have made a remarkable imprint on all of our lives. Your humor, generosity, advice, compassion and kindness enriched my life and the life of so many others for sure.
Rest. Let our love, wishes and prayers buoy you.

Thanks for being my Good and Dear Friend ! We both remember well the time we went to Sally's for Bridge and we didn't have her correct address of her Condo. We met 3 different neighbors before we found her condo. One lady appologized to us that she wasn't dressed better because she was making meatballs ! She looked great to us as she was in a nice warmup suit. Thanks for all the Love; the Fun ; the Laughter and the Great Times that we had together !! Save me a seat at the table !!
Love you more than you know,Susan

We were fortunate to meet Sandie and Stan on a trip to Italy many years ago. That was the start of a wonderful friendship and many fun years of travel together to Egypt, China, Morocco, Greece, France, Key West, etc. Sandie was beautiful, kind, fun and a true friend. Rest in peace, dear friend. We love you and will never forget you.
