Dear Walt, Jim, Lou, Mark and families,
I'm very sad at the passing of Joyce. I'm especially remembering you boys serving as altar boys at St Mary's. I enjoyed working across the hall from Joyce at 35 West Main St. and years later at St Clare's. It's been a very special friendship. I'm grateful for it.
My love and prayers to you all.

I have so many wonderful memories of Joyce-both in the office and on vacations with friends. We had such fun at our time share in Pompano with both of you, Walt. Joyce was always there to help me when I most needed her and I tried to do the same for her. You were right there beside her, Walt.
I shed tears as I say goodbye to a dear friend. Walt, you and the boys are in my thoughts and prayers as you travel this sad road.
Love you all.

Q: What will you never forget about Joyce?
A: I will never forget how Walt and Joyce took time out of their Florida vacation to visit us when our daughter was in the hospital following surgery. The visit was exactly what we all needed. She will be missed.

Walt and boys!
Our heartfelt sympathy!
oh what special Florida friends --- we so remember meeting them at the Sands! Gary met Walt out at the sand bar
years ago-- Walt had just been bit by a crab. That was the beginning of our friendship!
Joyce loved the beach and you picked the right background for her on line obituary! :) They would always sit
in nice high beach chairs -we were jealous as we had the low low ones! Walt would always be doing word finds/cross words in his beach chair as Joyce would visit or read. Every year I would sneak and take a picture of them during our time together and mail it to them in their Christmas card. Oh we would laugh about it. We had dinner together at St Armands Circle with them many times at the Venizia restaurant.
We had many many laughs together at the Sands. Oh how Joyce loved shopping the outlet mall for her Carley. We would show each other our buys and she would have hers laid out on their bed so excited to share. Also, the first year we bought our villa here in Florida they bought us Tervis tumbler glasses as a housewarming gift -- still have them and think of them when we use them.
These are just a few of the memories that we treasure. We have missed them at the Sands these past few years and many friends have asked about them. Everyone liked Walt/Joyce!!!!
Please know that our hearts have had tears because we will miss her just like you. I will miss my "Joycee"!!!!!!
In friendship and love,
Twila and Gary Quam

Walt and the boys, I am so sorry that we have lost Joyce too soon. She was a real shining light in many people's lives. We were close friends all through high school and we shared many good times in Mr. Allen's business classes. I wish you peace and comfort during these difficult times.
