Jamey was born only a few months before we moved next door to his family. We remember Jamey and John well as children and young men. We are saddened by his passing, especially so young. We'll miss him and his quick smile. He was a treasure!

No words, can ever properly describe what you meant to me. Even though we met in our early twenties, I felt and still do, that we were brothers. In our hearts, and in our minds.. I can remember all kinds of things and places we'd go thru out our days back then. I remember all the jobs we'd get into and all the days spent painting and drinking some after work Molson Canadians.. I could go on for hours,.. Jamer.. you were so talented and capable. An amazing friend and always there when I was in a tough spot. You held my arms up so many times when I was to tired. Encouraged me countless time when I was low.. you never let me get 'low', you knew how to keep my spirits up.. A truer Friend never existed.. a friend to each person you encountered. I'm still reeling from your passing and I think about you every day. I'm so glad we talked so often these last few months. I look forward to the day that we stand together again in Valhalla.. I miss you old friend, my brother.. so much.. In my mind, you'll always walk next to me when I'm deep in the woods, or I crack open a paint can, or those days I sit on the porch and open Molson, your spirit will be there with me.. I miss you Jamer.. so much.

Jamey and his Dad were a big part of my childhood as a teammate and coach in Denville Little League. I remember Jamie as a great competitor and enjoyed playing for Mr. O’Dell. I also fondly remember the year end pool parties at the O’Dell house. My sincere condolences on your loss. With sympathy, Rick Ranft

Thank you Rick for your very nice comments. Jamey and his Dad enjoyed Denville Little League a lot. Wow you reminded me about the end of season pool parties which I enjoyed watching you boys having so much fun. The Ranft name is very familiar from my school years in Denville and in town. Thank you again. Linda, Jamey’s mom.

I didn't know Jamer for as long as my dad did, but he meant a lot to me. He was a huge inspiration, and I plan on playing drums for my high school band because of him. He never doubted me, and to have him go so suddenly certainly came as a massive shock. Jamer, I'm sure wherever you are right now, you're happy, and if you're happy, so am I. I'll see you again someday, and maybe we can have lunch together. That would be nice. I love you, and I'm going to miss you a lot. -Anna Marotta

Thank you Anna. He certainly loved his drums and it’s great you enjoy them too. I’m happy he inspired you. We were all shocked by his passing, and I know he’s at peace now and will be with his dad. I sure hope someday you two will meet for lunch. Linda, Jamey’s Mom

I am at such a loss for words. So many stories and memories of you and my brother growing up. From getting the truck stuck in the mud, to hockey on the lake, vacations with you and our family. I talked to you about 8 months after Fred passed, we shared tears over recent life events and some laughs. I am just stunned, and send Jamey's family Linda and John my sincere condolences.

He was such a good guy. We will forever remember how he saved our wedding day with the sump pump in the basketball court. We will miss him very much.
