I have many happy memories of playing with all my cousins in Aunt Marilyn's warm and loving home. She was a kind, gentle, elegant woman who treated me like one of her own while I was there. More recently Marilyn and Glenn made the long trek over to Ireland for my wedding, which meant so much to me and my wife Aideen and to her sister, my mum Eileen. It was a pleasure to have them and Marilyn lit up a room with her charm and warmth. I have included a picture from after the ceremony. My heart goes out to Glen and all the boys, I wish I could be there to give you all a hug. But please know that Aideen and I are thinking of ye all a lot.
Love Cormac, Aideen and Líadan Farrell

Rest in Peace my dear aunt Marilyn. You were always up for a walk, a crafting session, a chat....you were always steadfast...
When I was quite little, I remember Marilyn telling me the name of a beautiful red bird that we don't have in Ireland, it was a Red Cardinal of course. And to this day, every time I see one, I think of her...
I will miss you beautiful aunt Marilyn.

In this photo Marilyn, Glenn and I are walking the Clare Way which runs along the Cliffs of Moher. It is the the most beautiful way to view the cliffs, as you can see how extensivethey are, but you have to a good head for hights! A great memory from 2017. XXX MARILYN. Eileen

Being the eldest of 4 girls and Marilyn the youngest by 9 years, her passing is particularly sad for me. My memories of Marilyn go back a very long way! But Happily, we have been very much part of each other’s lives as adults, through shared interests, our children as they grew and their various activities plus our visits to each other across the Atlantic Ocean.
I was able to visit the whole family most frequently between 1984 and 2000 as I travelled with my knitwear designs every Autumn of those years. I was able to share Marilyn and Glenn’s devotion to each of their boys sporting achievements. So many FUN days following different sporting pursuits and supporting each boy in their chosen field.
And there were so many interests we had in common as well. During my visits to NJ and Marilyn and Glenn’s visits to Ireland, we walked everyday, sometimes hiking the hills and mountains of both countries. We loved talking about wool colours and learning new crochet patterns, watching both American Football and Irish Rugby games! Many times we visited Historical gardens and, of course, I talked plants with Glenn. Quality time spent together, the most important of all! And always family meals wherever we were, quality time for sure. I will miss my beautiful, talented and devoted sister Marilyn.
With Love and Saddness in my heart, your oldest Sister far away, Eileen ♥️
