Celebration of Life
Obituary of Ronald M. Jaremcak
Ronald Matthew Jaremcak passed away on Tuesday, July 12, 2022 at St. Clare’s Hospital in Denville with his family by his side. He had shared 70 years of priceless wisdom, unconditional love, and infectious laughter with family and friends.
Born in Passaic to the late Matthew and Adeline Jaremcak, he was one of two children to bless their household. Ron was raised in East Rutherford and graduated from East Rutherford High School. He went on to earn his Bachelor’s Degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University and his Master’s Degree in Education from Montclair State University.
He began his career in the advertising industry, working for Hahne’s Department Store in Newark. That is where he met the love of his life, Patricia Ellen Clark. They were married on October 13, 1984 and the rest is history. Together they settled in West Milford before finding their forever home in Rockaway Township to raise a family of their own. Ron always worked hard to provide for his family. He had a successful second career as a Graphic and Visual Arts Teacher at Ridgewood High School for 17 years before retiring in 2016. Ron was an attentive husband, loving father, doting Grandpapa, and amazing friend. He will be sorely missed and forever treasured and remembered.
Ron was an active man with many hobbies. He enjoyed gardening, hiking, and refinishing furniture. A major history buff, he enjoyed reading about World War II and Winston Churchill. Ron loved model trains and set up his childhood trains in the attic - first for his children and, more recently, for his granddaughters. After retirement, he took up painting and playing the piano. He was very active with the Winnebago Scout Reservation in Rockaway. However, his all-time favorite hobby was going shopping for and with his children and grandchildren.
Although we are deeply saddened by his passing, we take comfort in knowing he is now reunited with his parents and sister, Kathy. He leaves many unforgettable memories to his beloved wife of 37 years, Pat; his adored children, Matthew Clark Jaremcak and his wife Meagan and Caitlin Anne Gant and her husband Robert; his cherished grandchildren, Lily, Magnolia, Aubrey, and Holly; his brother-in-law, Mike Bertola; and many dear extended family and friends.
There will be a celebration of Ron’s life at 11:00 am on Sunday, July 31st at the Pine Cliff Lake Club House, 1577 Union Valley Rd, West Milford, NJ 07480. Memorial Donations are being accepted in Ron’s name to the Juvenile Diabetes Association by way of www.inmemof.org to ensure receipt of your donation. Please leave a condolence, light a candle, and share your favorite memory of Ron here to continue to celebrate the incredible life he bestowed upon us.
