“You can frame a moment, but you can’t frame life.”

Carmine Prolizo passed peacefully at Morristown Medical Center after a long illness at the age of 66.  Memorial Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 22nd from 5-8 pm at the Norman Dean Funeral Home, Denville.  A Funeral Service will begin at 7:30 pm. Donations in his name may be made to the good work of the American Kidney Fund.  Please share your memories here. His family will cherish them.

Born in the Bronx to the late Carmelo and Anna (nee Puliafito) Prolizo, Carmine was one of two children to bless the family.  As a child, they moved to Bayville, NJ and he graduated from Central Regional High School.  He started his college education and shortly after found his passion in the IT industry and worked on Wall Street for many years. He met Judy Schaefer and they married on September 26, 1992.  They made their home in Sandyston and have shared nearly 30 years of marriage.  Carmine was an extremely creative and talented man.  Together with his wife they owned Tranquility Frameworks and Gallery for many years designing, creating and building high-end custom picture framing as well as working in the art and home décor industry.  In his spare time, he loved to cook and everything that came out of Carmine’s kitchen was truly something special.  He was a gourmet chef and cooked with love.  Boating, the ocean and the beach was paradise for him.

Sadly, Carmine’s health has affected him for quite some time.  He has fought the good fight and  although we are saddened by his passing, we take comfort in knowing he is at peace and watching over his family with love.

He leaves joyful memories with his wife Judith (nee Schaefer); his sister Joanne Prolizo- Neveroski (Vincent); his Mother in law Mary Alice Schaefer; sister in law Pat Smith (Edward); brother in law Robert Schaefer (Gina); sister in law Donna Schaefer;  nieces and nephews Vincent and Andrea Neveroski; Rachel and Desiree Blanchette; Michael Smith; Mack and John Schaefer and his 3 beautiful  felines. He also leaves many dear loving relatives and friends.  His brother in law Larry Schaefer passed previously.
