Obituary of Lugene Angelo Melchiorri
Lugene Angelo Melchiorri passed away on April 24, 2021, at the age of 62.
Born in Brooklyn, he grew up in New York and Newark, NJ then moved to Bloomfield, NJ and then to Rockaway Twp., before moving to Rockaway Borough 21 years ago.
Lu worked as a Morris County Employee at the Morris County Jail for 28 years before retiring in 2019, was in the Union Council #6 and owned and operated his company, L. & L. Plumbing, Heating & HVAC.
Lugene was an avid bowler, he bowled for the Rockaway Foursome League and at Circle Lanes in Succasunna. He was a Boy Scout earning many achievements, he also loved going to truck and car shows with his son, family was his number one priority and his number one love.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 33 years, Loribeth (Alford) Melchiorri of Rockaway, NJ. He is also survived by his loving son Angelo and his wife Brittney Melchiorri of Vernon, NJ, his cherished grandson Wyatt Gene Melchiorri, his brothers in-law George and Kenny and his sister in-law Cynthea as well as his mother in-law Carol Alford and many cherished nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his mother Christina and also by his brother in-law Douglas.
A memorial visitation will be held on Friday April 30, 2021, from 4:00 – 8:00PM with a service to commence at 7:30PM at Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave Denville, NJ 07834 www.normandean.com.
Memorial donations can be made in his memory to the American Heart Association by way of inmemor.org.
