My condolences to the Melchiorri Family. I first met Lu working the Court Street Jail. Lu earned my respect and his longevity will bear that out. Lu was a fixture because he respected what we did and how we did it. Lu's work always had him in harms way but he never showed it. Lu interacted with staff in the most professional manner possible. Lu's demeanor was contagious as he was always calm and confident. Lu always had a smile and was annoyingly upbeat at times. You left us much too soon. Mark A. Lusardi
