Obituary of Mildred Rinaldi

Please share a memory of Mildred to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Mildred Rinaldi passed peacefully on September 30, 2020. She shared 90 years of love and faith with her family. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 11, 2020 at 2 o'clock in the afternoon at the Reformed Church of Boonton, 236 Washington St., Boonton, NJ 07005.

Millie was born in Walkes Barre, Pa and was one of six children to bless the Birkbeck family.  After High school she was working in West Orange and found herself in a tailor shop one day.  It was there that she met Anthony Rinaldi and the rest was history.  She was smitten and after a brief courtship, they married.  Mildred was blessed with two of her own children and so enjoyed raising the kids.  Living in West Orange, Millie started working at the Manor, where she stayed for many years.  She held every position possible and made hundreds of friends through the years.

She was a social butterfly and always enjoyed being around others.  She was charming and graceful, witty and kind.  Above all, she was loving and caring and took a genuine interest in getting to know you.  After moving from her home in West Orange, Millie settled into St. Francis in Denville for a few years before Merry Heart.  She enjoyed the activities and opportunities for staying active in both new homes.  Although we are saddened by her passing we take comfort in knowing she is with her dear Anthony once again and watching over her family with love.

She leaves beautiful memories to her children Cynthia Jeffreys and Anthony Rinaldi; her loving daughter in law Jennifer Rinaldi; her grandchildren Robert Deiorio (Sherry), Donna Deiorio (Billy), Devon Jeffreys, Anthony Rinaldi (Caitlin) and Matthew Rinaldi; her adored six great grandchildren, her sister Ruth Swift and many more dear relatives and friends.  Her husband Anthony; her son in law Daniel Jeffreys and four of her siblings passed previously.

Millie’s family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Boonton Care Center for the love and care they showed to their Mom in her final years.

Donations in her memory may be made to The Gideons International Memorial Bible Fund, c/o Deovy Jaico, 14 Tuscan Rd, Livingston NJ 07039-2919 (checks to "The Gideons International") or to Boonton Care Center, Care Staff Christmas Fund, 199 Powerville Road, Boonton, NJ 07005, in honor of the loving care Mildred received with there.
