Looking back 38 yrs ago when we met she and Richie, we have memories of kiddie birthday parties together. She was kind and supportive when we needed it. She gave of her time generously to the Morris Knolls Marching Band Parents' Booster where she and Richie served as presidents of that club for a while.
We miss the numerous chats we've had with them on our neighborhood walks as we crossed paths.
Her memory will always be a fond one and the community is grateful for her good works.
Our sincerest condolences to Diana, Michael, Del and family.

Upon us moving to Denville in the summer of 1967, Candy met my brother Rich. Almost from that day she became part of our family. She was always a joy to be around, and loved by all of us. She was such a smart and strong woman, so kind and so generous. She loved her family dearly. Family meant everything to her. She will truly be missed by us and all who were lucky enough to know her. Candy, enjoy eternity with your beloved husband, Rich. Until we meet again love you, Steve

Dear Leatherberry and Wagoner families, I am so sorry for your loss. Candy was one of the nicest people I have ever known. I admired the love she and Richard shared and loved seeing them walking around the lake, always holding hands. May she rest in peace hand in hand, again, with the love of her life.

I remember meeting Candy for the first time when our cousin Richard brought her home to a holiday dinner. I was so taken by her beauty I begged Richard to marry her right then. I was younger and didn't realize one should court another for a period of time, but I must have know in my heart the 2 were meant to be. Their wedding was beautiful and their love story, one of a kind. I can hear both their voices and Candy's laugh. Our family has suffered a great loss. I see Rich coming to get her, I see Candy reaching for his hand, I see her softly kissing her beloved children and grandchildren good bye as the 2 of them float up to heaven, for eternity, and I imagine their love story picks up right where it left off when Richard left us. Sweet as Candy, that what I always said when I spoke about her. She will be missed by all. God's newest angel, he sure took a good one, but God always takes the best. We love you Candy.
