I have many memories at the Flynn's, especially with Jimmy and him teaching at St. Mary's. I also credit the Flynn family for introducing me to the love of wrestling through high school. You will be sorely missed Mrs. Flynn, you have a wonderful family. Rest in peace.

I remember Dot's exuberant presence, cutting the rug, dressed to the nines. She was so fortunate to have so many of her family members with her at the end, especially in these times. What a testament to a life well-lived! The Reticker clan is sorry that we were not able to be there for the moving send off from her friends and family in her beloved community. My heart is with all of the Flynns.

Wonderful for Dot to be honored and surrounded by people who loved her in the pouring rain. I watched the video of her funeral and remembered sitting in the kitchen at Michele and Collier's house talking to her. She always looked lovely. She had the patina of a movie star. I'm sorry that I will never hear that Jersey gal voice again and laugh with her. The photo of Dot as a young woman that Michele shared with me captures an expression of a woman both intelligent and sensitive. Yes, I will always remember Dot. My love goes out to all that loved her--and there were so many!

I knew Mrs. Flynn starting when I was a young boy, having been friends with her children all through elementary school, high school and beyond. I remember her as always smiling and very positive. She seemed to have a perpetual tan. When I moved back to Denville for a few years in the late 90s, I ran into her a few times and she was still smiling. My dad, Jack Scofield, also has fond memories of Mrs. Flynn as they and their (future) spouses were all teenagers together in and around Indian Lake. I am sorry to hear of her passing, but I'm glad that she was blessed with a long life. I was amazed at the large number of descendents she left behind. All, I'm sure, have wonderful memories of her. My deepest condolences to everyone in the extended Flynn family. - Mike Scofield

I think I only met Dotty once but I know that she raised a wonderful family and loved each one completely as was her nature. She leaves behind a legacy rich in her Catholic faith for all who knew her. I was privileged to know one of her sons and his wife and their children. May God had already have her in heaven as the old Irish blessing says and may she from heaven keep her mothers eye on each and every one of her descendant. God bless all of you, Nancy and Mike Donnelly

I ran into Mrs. Flynn and Michelle last year in Shop Rite, and we had a lovely chat. She was asking me if I knew anything about a 50th reunion for the class of 69 , which myself and husband Gerry were in along with Jack, at Morris Catholic. She asked me for my phone number and called a few days later to see if I found out any info. We have wonderful memories of all the Flynn’s and remembered thinking way back from our high school years what a sweet, friendly and kind person Mrs. Flynn was. Our thought and prayers to all of the family.

My deepest condolences to the entire Flynn family. I grew up with Tim and Brian and was at their house many times growing up. In late grammar school through high school, my first job was as a paperboy. At this time the Flynns were one of my customers. Mrs Flynn was always cheerful and made me feel appreciated. She was one of my best tippers. I have many happy memories growing up "around the corner" from the Flynns.

Sue Leonard Veitengruber I am so sorry to hear this. Dotty was a wonderful person who always had a great smile and kind word for everyone. She was so much fun to be around. I remember when Dotty appeared on the Price is Right. I was probably about 10 or 11 years old. She couldn't tell anyone the outcome of the show until it aired. So on the day the show was on TV we all sat glued to the television to watch. Then when she won the diamond broach, my mother and I went to see it at their first house on Franklin Road. Everyone was so happy for her. I never knew she was a cheerleading captain, but that certainly fits. She always cheering everyone on, especially her 7 children, who attened St. Mary's and Morris Catholic with me. What a legacy -- 25 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 37 nieces and nephews! She will be missed Our condolances to the entire family, and all her friends. Prayers and {{Hugs}}
