I worked with Cristina in NYC. She was a fashion icon in the smallish - in those days - inside world of high fashion. Interestingly enough clothing wears better on the truly authentic and no one wore them like her. We spent years together. She was an important part of our family. When I mentioned her passing to my father he said "wow! she was so young and beautiful".
Authenticity was her genius and it didn't go unnoticed. Robbin Williams was her customer but what wasn't mentioned was that the store on 57th street would be closed to allow Cristina to work with Robbin - only Cristina. She's very special and an important part of the fabric of many lives. My condolences to her family.

I had the pleasure of working with Cristina for a short time. Although I didn't know her for very long, it didn't take long to see what a kind, caring, funny person she was. Memories of Cristina will always bring a smile to my face and warm my heart. My heart breaks for her children and those that loved her. May she rest forever in peace.

During my 7 years in Lafayette, Cristina and I would go out of our way to greet one another, and find a spot to hold each other’s arm and just laugh. The news of her passing, hurts my heart. Our daughters were in Elementary School together, so we also stood outside of each other’s homes and laid our feelings of life, on the line. She was a comrade. It was always refreshing to see my Cristina Cristina.
My sympathy and love to her children, Sara and Gabe .

Over the years Cristina lived in Lafayette I enjoyed her friendship and truly unique personality. She did not try to showoff her intelligence in order to bolster herself. Rather, it was evident in her humor, her understanding of people, the social implications of politics and her discussion of her school readings. Her determination was apparent in her tireless efforts to meet her children's' needs and happiness, her work outside the home, and her dedication to finishing her degree, despite many obstacles and demands on her time. She could not do anything other than what she believed to be right.
I particularly enjoyed her special humor. One morning I woke to find a political article taped to my back door. After laughing at the article, and the absurdity of its appearance, it took me a quick minute to figure out who had stealthily accomplished the feat of delivering it undetected. This was only one of her amusing antics.
The loss of Cristina is the loss of an amazing individual, who despite the years of challenges life presented to her, applied her many abilities to truly doing her best for others, all with a sense of humor.

Cristina and I met 15 years ago on the sidelines of a sports field in Andover, while our kids had soccer practice. You could talk to Cristina about anything, she was bright, and always genuinely interested. She had very high moral standards for herself and her loved ones, hard working and humble in every situation. At the same time, Cristina had this dry sense of humour that sometimes caught you off guard, but she would certainly make you laugh. Very seldom did Cristina talk about her health issues, or even complain about her problems, she kept working and fighting until the end. Cristina was a dear friend to me. I will miss her. My sincere condolences to her family.

Cristina and I worked together and shared many wonderful conversations. She was one of the spunkiest, most energetic, and hard working people I’ve ever met. Her dry, unique sense of humor was second to none! I never knew that she was fighting such a difficult battle internally. God bless Cristina, and love to her whole family.

As Cristina's neighbor for quite some time, I can attest to the love she had for her children and other family members of whom she often spoke. Cristina and I were often outside doing yard work with Zeus and Indy and my dog Hank. She was a beautiful, smart woman with a truly independent spirit and I am so sorry she had to suffer so much. My condolences to all family and friends who knew and loved her. We were fortunate to have had her as a part of our lives.

Cristina had a unique perspective on life and always got you to think in new and creative ways. Most days at work she would have me in stitches with her dry humor. She had a passion I will deeply miss. The world lost a special soul. My deepest condolences to her family and friends.

I was grateful for the time we had Cristina as an employee. She really cared about the work she did for us and had a strong desire to always do her best. Cristina really had a way with words that always made me laugh. I am grateful for the short time I was able to know her. May she be at peace and transition in love. -Tracy
