Carol,
I really have no words... I am so so sorry...
We always had so much fun with you both at bowling.
And I always enjoyed chatting with Joe when he’d stop by the store.
Just know you are very loved and Joe will be missed by many, he was a unique person and made one smile.
Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers and surrounding you with love.

We've been Joe's next door neighbors for over 15 years and he was always there to lend a hand or just have a conversation. Joe always spent so much time in the yard keeping everything looking immaculate and it will be difficult to not see him out there any longer. He was always so nice to the kids and always shouted hello and asked what they were up to anytime he saw them. We will miss you.

When I first moved to NJ I met two awesome guys...Sal and Joe. The three of us rode motorcycles all summer and they introduced me to some epic roads. When it started to get too cold to ride I asked - “what do you guys do in the winter?” Thats when I started to bowl on a winter league where they introduced me to some epic folks. So it went for many years of bowling and riding and having fun together. Lots of good memories. Joe was one of a handful of folks that called me “Billy.” I loved walking into a room and hearing him yell my name. Thanks for being a mensch.

As a young boy I lived next to Joe and Carole, I have many memories of spending time with Joe throwing a Frisbee or my favorite having a catch. Joe was like the brother I never had always willing to stop and take time to play....we moved away when I was 12 but I was able to get back a few years ago to stop in and say hello he hadn't changed much when I pulled into the driveway there he was polishing the car a staple for Joe.
Carole my Thoughts and Prayers are with you, God BLESS !!!!! . Charlie Mazzucco

Dec, 23, 2019 I lost my brother, Joey, suddenly to a tragic accident which changed so many lives. We were brothers by the same great mother, Dot. Although nine years apart, we grew to share some of the same interests; cars, motorcycles, and, of course, Bonnie View Farms which we both loved. As the years went by we saw less of each other because of girlfriends, marriages, jobs, etc. We would see each other at family gatherings and occasionally meet for lunch or dinner with Carol and Joe. Joey was a very compassionate person and was always ready to help anyone. All too many times if he heard I was attempting to do something that might need two people he would pick up the phone and ask "Rich, do you need help? I'm here!" which all too often I didn't take him up on it, not wanting to bother him. I should have said "yes" just to have more time with him.
Every night I lay down to sleep and I see his face and hear "Rich, do you need help?" I will never forget you Joe!!!
XXXOOO Rich

Carol,
May the memory of this tragedy soon give way to all the good memories you have stored up, and may the goodness Joe instilled on his friends and loved ones be multiplied in the lives of those he's left behind.
Joe was loved by so many and will be dearly missed. He will forever hold a special place in all our hearts.
My thoughts and prayers are with you through this difficult time.

Dear Carol our thoughts, love and prayers are with you at this sad time. I found this poem today and wanted to share it with you. We love you Joe! You will never be forgotten for the kind and wonderful person you were and all the lives you touched in the short time you were on this earth. We were blessed to have had you in our lives. The Broken Chain...We little knew that day that God would call you home, In life we loved you dearly, In death we do the same. It broke our hearts to lose you. You did not go alone, for part of us went with you, The day God called you home. You left us beautiful memories, Your love is still our guide. And although we cannot see you, You are always at our side. Our family chain is broken, And nothing seems the same, But as God calls us one by one, The chain will link again. RIP my friend XXOO till we meet again.

Joe read meters when I was a marketing rep in the Rockaway office many years ago. As I recall, he was very conscientious, friendly and very good at his job. Having been away from NJNG for nearly 20 years I was truly saddened to hear of his passing. To his wife and family, my condolences, I’m sure he will be sorely missed. .....Jerry Hill

Our deepest sympathy to Carol and family at this difficult time. Joe and Ray were best buddies through the 5th grade in Towaco, after which they lost touch until about 10 years ago. Ray will always cherish the childhood memories he has of Bonnie View Farm. We are both so grateful for the friendship we developed with Joe and Carol over these past 10 years. We look forward to gathering with Carol and our new friendships to remember you, Joe, with fond memories, laughs and smiles. You are missed, dear friend.

Here we are without you Joe...and none of us really know what to do. For more than 50 years Sal and you turned your mutual enthusiasm for riding, bowling, the Giants etc. into a lifelong friendship. But it was your deep love and respect for each other that truly honored the very concept of what friendship means. You have been a brother to him and of course a loving Uncle Joe to his kids and grand kids. When I came along you made sure to make me and my family feel loved and special too. You were really good at that. When there was even the slightest problem in our lives you were the first one there to offer a helping hand. We don't think we ever got to tell you how much that meant to us. You were the best friend anyone could ask for and the world was a better place with you in it. Like so many other family and friends we will always have empty places in our lives where we look for you. You will live in our hearts forever and we will always be there for Carol with all the love and caring in the world as she has always been for us. R.I.P. Joe. Til we meet again...
