It's been 17 years since I last saw my friend,
Soon this short life on earth will come to an end.
Last year you lost your Dad,
one of the best friends you ever had.
Our days together at the shore,
I'm sorry we didn't get to have more.
We spent some time in the Florida sun,
We certainly had a lot of fun,
I'll alway remember your speedo tan,
I still miss you Electro-Man!

Fourteen years to the day.
Our good buddy went away.
As we change and life moves on,
We can't forget our time with Don.
By day a speedo for his tan,
At night 24 dancers on stage he ran.
Donald lived the life when things went well,
He cared so much for his girl Carmel.
Someday soon, but we don't know when,
The party will continue with our Denville friend.

Now the years have turned thirteen,
They've gone so fast,
What do they mean?
I remember you on Halloween,
Your costume was a drag queen.
Seeing you in that short dress,
Your makeup soon to be a mess,
Blonde haired wig upon your head,
Let's hang again when I am dead!

That Thanksgiving dinner in '89,
At his apartment we had a great time.
Everyone sat down to a great feast,
The party lasted til late eve, to say the least.
The years are twelve that you've been gone.
Hey Mr DJ please play me that song!

Too soon the years are now eleven,
Since that day you went to heaven.
A decade plus one, gone in a flash,
remembering you still makes us laugh.
Trying to make some easy cash,
Drove to NYC you did crash.
Bringing it back to Denville all a wreck,
You gave Dave's car back, and hit him up for the check!

I am so incredibly sad to learn that Don passed. I have nothing but incredible memories of my long lost best friend with whom I had the best of times, throughout our teen years, in Denville, NJ. I am so sorry we lost touch with one another - He was a great friend - Kind, loving, funny as heck, and always, always there for me. He will always live in my heart!

It went so fast,
10 years gone by.
Now Greg has passed,
I wonder why?
Another DJ spinning up there,
Both of your together means no dead air!
Soon enough we will be three,
Don, please say hello to Greg for me.

Even though the years are nine,
we talk about you all the time.
On Rt 287 you got stopped,
hitting the gas you did not get popped!
You booked the condo in Seaside Heights.
& ran the lights on Sunday nights.
Although our "good buddy is sorely missed,
we remember you & reminisce.

Now the years have turned to eight,
Since you passed the Pearly Gate.
The Club Pink Pussycat you did rule,
This working DJ was no fool!
Went off to Vegas for higher wage,
Ran 20 girls up on that stage,
All the dough went in the box,
Forgot the rent, they changed the locks!
Where you are you need no cash,
So save me some from your "secret stash"!!

I can't believe the years are seven,
since that day you went to heaven.
All this time and pain & joy,
we still miss the Feb birthday boy.
From above you watch Jets play,
We'll join you there, up there some day.

My brother did everything big and he loved big too. Family and friends meant everything to him. He would give you the shirt off his back and he would give you his last dollar. "Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his fiends." (john 15-13) Donald loved such as this and if he called you friend it meant something to him.
Live well and love BIG. Celebrate the people in your life now. Don't wait another minute to tell the people in your life how much you love them and how much they mean to you.
I will always love you my big brother. Thank you for loving me.

I was fortunate to have had a chance to know the most selfless, compassionate and genuine person in Donald. When I think of him I remember a man who fearlessly attacked life with a zeal. He was a master of the art of being 1's own man yet he allways remembered others. He supported me when I was down - He revelled with me when things were good. As an announcer and nightclub technician he was serious, polished and 1 of the very best. He was also a top rate electrician having learned from his Dad. He treated women with class and respect and they lavished attention on him in return. I will allways cherish our memories together from Morristown to Coconut Grove. I will remember the terrific summer we had in 1987 and all the good times we enjoyed together. My thoughts and prayers go out to the Welch Family and to friends and relatives of Don. I know I will allways love and miss my very good friend...gc</b></font><br><br>

Donald was a very dear friend for over 25 years. His his lust for life and huge heart were two of his many memorable great qualities. My deepest sympathy goes out to all who love him. He will be greatly missed. He was deffinelty one of those people who offer you the shirt off his back, and for me he had on many occasions. For the ones who really know Donald would agree. If there is a chess tournament where he is he will surely win. I will never forget you "Electroman"</b></font><br><br>

From 1981 until 1985 Don ruled the Governor's Nightclub in Lake Hopatcong. He was the amazing "Electroman". His favorite night was the Sunday "All Male Review", In the summer Don would go to Wildwood NJ beach for the weekend & hitch hike to Lake Hopatcong by 10:00pm to do the lights on Sunday night.</b></font><br><br>
