Obituary of Elizabeth Mary McConnon

Elizabeth Mary McConnon (nee Looney) of Denville passed away at St. Clare's Hospital in Denville on February 13, 2015. She was 86 years old. Elizabeth was an avid New York Rangers and West Ham United English Football Club fan. Born and raised in Ballinhassig, Cork, Ireland, she moved to Bedfordshire, England, then to Louisville, KY for two years before moving to Valley Cottage, NY. She has resided in the Indian Lake section of Denville since 1983. She was a one of a kind woman (witty, funny, irreverent) that will be missed dearly. Elizabeth is now reunited with her husband Eugene who passed in 2003. She is survived by her family from Ireland, nieces Margaret Looney and Josephine Reeves, and nephews Michael and Stephen Looney; and her Goddaughter Josephine Looney and Godson Jeffrey Aherne from England. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 17th at 10:00 am at St. Mary's Church, Denville. Interment to follow at Denville Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Norman Dean Home for Services, Denville. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to St.Mary's R.C. Church, 15 Myers Ave, Denville 07834.
