Obituary of Katharine Pauline Klug

Katharine P. Klug (nee Quinn), 93, passed away Monday, January 5, 2015 at Compassionate Care Hospice in Dover. She was born and raised on the Quinn Farm in Milford, PA. Following high school graduation she left the farm and worked for 6 years at Western Electric in Kearney where she met her husband. They moved from Newark to Whippany where she lived for 59 years and in Denville for the past 3 years. Katharine was active in the Hanover Township Seniors, worked as a cook for 4 years and a teacher's aide for 3 years in the Hanover Township Schools. She enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening, cooking and especially baking cookies. Katharine was predeceased by her husband Raymond L. Klug in 1995 and her brother, Merritt B. Quinn in 2014. She is survived by her 2 daughters Katharine Louise Opsasnick and her late husband Eugene M. Opsasnick of Denville and Janette Marie Hunsucker and her husband Jeffrey Hunsucker of Hartly, DE.; loving siblings Centa T. Quinn, James Quinn, and John Quinn of Milford, PA; grandchildren Anthony R. Lopez of Fort Polk, LA, Eugene J. Opsasnick of Kenvil, NJ and Michael R. Opsasnick of Rockaway, NJ; and great-grandchildren Gavin and Joshua Lopez and Krystyna, Michael and Eugene Opsasnick. Katharine's Life Celebration will include visitation on Thursday, January 8, 2015 from 7 to 9 p.m. at Norman Dean Home for Services, 16 Righter Avenue, Denville, NJ and Funeral Service on January 9 at 9:30 a.m. at the Funeral Home. Katharine will be laid to rest at Restland Memorial Park Cemetery in East Hanover, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Katharine's name to Compassionate Care Hospice, 400 West Blackwell Street, Dover, NJ 07801.
