Obituary of William Mathew Condon

William M. Condon, 88, died in his sleep on Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at his home in Denville, NJ. He was born in Brooklyn, NY, lived in Chagrin Falls, Ohio, and moved to Boonton Township in 1958. He most recently resided in Franciscan Oaks in Denville, NJ. He married Elaine DeMuria in 1948 and they recently celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary. William graduated from Fort Hamilton HS and the King's Point Merchant Marine Academy. He proudly served his country during WWII with the USCGMM. After his honorable discharge, he worked as a National Sales Manager for the Uniroyal Corporation and as a Marine and Industrial Products Manager for Hayward Products for many years. An avid tennis player, he had been a member of the Mountain Lakes Club and the Park Lake Tennis Club. Above all, William enjoyed spending time with his family. He was also a volunteer mentor of young people for the organization Roots and Wings. Predeceased by his wife Elaine; he is survived by his sons, William and his wife Karen of Denville, NJ and Chris and his wife Ning of Jersey City, NJ. He is also survived by his grandchildren Erin Mottet of San Diego, CA, Katelin Robinson of Weehawken, NJ, Calvin Condon of Jersey City, NJ.
