Obituary of Robert A. DeMaio
Please share a memory of Robert to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Robert A. DeMaio, 73, of Denville, NJ passed away in his home surrounded by his loving family on November 18, 2014.
Born in Philadelphia, PA., he moved to North St., Madison, NJ at a young age. He grew up in Madison where he attended and graduated from Madison High School. After enlisting with the U.S. Navy, he served from 1961-1965 on the USS Independence during the Vietnam War.
Gifted with a sharp mind and the innate ability to work with his hands, he was able to build a foundation for a lasting career in construction at which he worked hard up until his passing.
His love of family blessed him with a loving wife and eleven wonderful children.
He moved to Cedar Lake in Denville in 1986, where he was routinely seen frequenting local businesses, lounging by the lake, and making many lifelong friends until his passing.
He is survived by his loving wife Diane, his daughters, Lisa Perry, Suzi DeMaio, Alana DeMaio, Kristin Tufano-DeMaio, Janine DeMaio and Janette DeMaio and his sons Robert A. DeMaio Jr., Justin Tufano-DeMaio, Jon-Paul DeMaio, Anthony DeMaio and Nicholas DeMaio as well as three grandchildren.
