Dale was born in March of 1950 to the late Alfred & Monna Johnson.  The were raised in in Denville and Rockaway.  After High School he enlisted into the US Army, serving time during the Vietnam Era.  He was honorably discharged as a Staff Sgt.  He attended college earning his Associates degree and began his career in the banking industry.  In the early 1980’s he decided it was time to partner with his father operating the family Duraclean business. With his dedication and passion, Dale had a successful career.  He loved the business and his customers, which always became “family”.  He married the love of his life, Ann (nee Graybush) and they started their family. They enjoyed many camping trips, family vacations and holidays together through the years.  Dale truly was a genuine soul.  His generosity, care and concern for others was obvious always. Anyone who knew Dale, are certainly richer for it.

When he wasn’t at work, a rarity, he enjoyed going to the movies and tending to his gardens.  He loved his lilacs and grew roses and healthy vegetables each year.  Above all; he loved being with his family and loved ones.  The sun rose and set on his granddaughters and he was a very proud Pop Pop.

His beloved wife Ann passed in July of 2005.  We take comfort in knowing they are united and watching over their family with love and pride.  He leaves beautiful memories to his son and daughter in law Andrew & Tina Johnson; his daughter and son in law Stephanie & Brian Bedotto; his granddaughters Bryleigh and Kelsi Bedotto; his sister and brother in law Elizabeth & Larry Rizzi; and many extended family and loved ones.
