Obituary of Carol B. Sandra

Please share a memory of Carol to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Carol B. (Redling) Sandra passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, June 20, 2019. She was 82 years young.

Born in Newark to the late Steven and Madeline Redling, she was raised in Cedar Grove. Carol graduated from Bloomfield High School before working as a telephone operator. She then settled down and started her family. Being a Mom was one of the greatest joys in her life. Once her children were adults she went back to work, finding her niche at Boonton Electronics. After over 25 years of hard work she retired as Service Manager. Since 1965 Carol has been a fixture in Denville; she was loyal, funny, kind, generous, and had many lifelong friends and priceless relationships. As past president of the Monday Group of Denville Seniors for 5 years, she was a very integral part of their group. In her spare time Carol loved knitting and crocheting, drawing and painting, working on many different crafts, and spending as much time with her grandchildren as possible. We will miss her great stories and infectious smile and addicting personality. She will always be remembered.

Predeceased by her first husband Albert Brehm, her second husband Robert Sandra, and her sister Phyllis Brehm, she leaves only joyful memories to her adored children, Dawn Winters and Cary Brehm; her cherished grandchildren, Arielle Winters and Robyn Winters; her loving nephew, Douglas Brehm and niece, Denise Schmidt and her husband DeWayne and their children Zachery and Jacob Schmidt; and her caring brother-in-law, William Brehm.

Memorial Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 6th from 4 – 6 pm with Funeral Service beginning at 5:30 pm at Norman Dean Home for Services, 16 Righter Ave., Denville. Memorial Donations are being accepted to the Ronald McDonald House in Delaware. Please leave a condolence, light a candle, and share your favorite memory of Carol with her family.
