Please share a memory of John to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

John J. Kominiak, Jr. passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at Merry Heart Assisted Living in Succasunna. He was 94 years young.

Born in Port Griffith, PA, he was raised in Montville, NJ to the late John J. Kominiak, Sr. and Julia Vitek. After graduating High School, he proudly served our country in the United States Army during World War II in the European Theater. Once he returned home, he met the love of his life, Marie DeSantis. They married and settled in Denville where they raised their children. John was a very hard and dedicated worker. John started his career at Curtiss-Wright engineering propellers for B-52 aircrafts before finding his calling as Police Officer. He joined the Denville Police Department as a Patrolman and attained the rank of Lieutenant before retiring after 14 years of service. John was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend. He will be sorely missed and forever treasured in our hearts and memories. We take comfort in knowing he is finally back with his beloved Marie.

Predeceased by his beloved wife of 50 years, Marie, his adored daughter, Sue Ann Kramer, and his siblings, Lillian Kayhart and Joseph Kominiak. He leaves only joyful memories to his loving children, Bonnie Katz and her husband Bobby of Old Bridge, Mary Lee Faccenda and her husband Gary of Denville, and John J. Kominiak III and his wife Alicia of Hampton; his cherished grandchildren, Anthony John, Michael, and Adam Pumilia, Benjamin Kramer, Nicholas, Allison, and Tyler Faccenda, and Brianna and Tara Kominiak; and his great-grandson, Dominick Pumilia.
