Please light a candle or share your memories here.  His family will cherish them forever.

James was born in Paterson to the late James and Ethel Dixon.  He was a product of the greatest generation and served our country in both WW II and Korea. On a blind date he met June Kiefer.  They went square dancing and after a few short hours, Jim knew she was the one.  In 1949 they married and settled in Parsippany. He worked hard to provide a wonderful life for his family. He was employed by the state of NJ for many years as the Senior Bridge Engineer & Inspector.  He enjoyed the work and formed lasting relationships along the way.

In his spare time, Jim enjoyed watching the NY Yankees and being with his family.  He could often be found with a Soduko puzzle in hand or listening to some Irish music.  Above everything, he adored his wife June.  They were just shy of their 70th wedding anniversary when she passed last December.  Although we are saddened by his passing, we take comfort in knowing he is with his sweetheart once again.

He leaves happy memories to his children Lorrie Vece(Joseph) and Brian Dixon (April); his grandchildren Christine Zoino, Kevin Vece, James, Timothy, Jason and Samuel Dixon; seven great grandchildren and many more dear relatives and friends.
