Obituary of Zackery Austin Clegg

Zackery Austin Clegg, of Rockaway Township, passed away at home on Wednesday, May 8, 2019. He was 26 years young.

Our beloved Zack was extremely smart and hardworking. He graduated from Rutgers School of Engineering with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering Magna Cum Laude and completed all of the requirements for the option in Energy Systems Concentration. He worked as a tutor for high school students with topics in mathematics and physical sciences. He also worked as an Associate Computer Aided Draftsman, a Student Aide at County College of Morris where he was assisting a physically disabled student with General Chemistry 1, and a Sales Associate at Dollar Tree in Rockaway. Zack achieved the level of Black Belt at the Rockaway Karate Academy.

Zack had a strong love for animals, especially his beloved Bichon Frise, Lola. He cared for Lola with all the kindness in his heart. He dedicated many years to scouts and enjoyed playing video games in his spare time. He was truly one of a kind and will be sorely missed.

Zack is survived by his loving parents, John and Sue Clegg; his caring brother, Nick; sweet Lola; and grandmothers, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Relatives and friends are welcome to join us as we celebrate Zack on Wednesday, May 15th from 5 – 8 pm with Funeral Service beginning at 7:30 pm. Memorial Donations are being accepted to 11th Hour Rescue by way of www.inmemof.org. Please leave a condolence, light a candle, and share a special memory of Zack for his family to cherish.
