In the early 1960's my brother was dating Kathie who introduced our family to her sister, Ethel and then to Tony. He was a handsome, quiet and polite young man with a nice sense of humour. After all these years he continued to live up to this first impression we had of him. It is lovely for me to learn he lived and died under the loving and watchful eyes of his beautiful daughters.
My husband and I offer our sincere sympathy to Tony's daughters and the whole family. Martin and Judy Anne Muldoon

The Hitchman family will always feel connected to the Salter family whether near or far, in life or in death. The memories we shared together are etched into our hearts. Pam, Karen, and Cheryl we loved your parents. They were both wonderful human beings, fun, loving, generous and kind. We are sorry for your loss. We know how much you parents meant to you and you to them. I am glad you have such good memories and now each other to continue the Salter legacy of love of family.
We will forever remember Tony and Ethel. Love Marie, Tony and Suzanne

Special heartfelt thoughts to Pam, Karen and Cheryl. I remember our long friendship with the Salter family but especially with Tony. I was a colleague and friend of Tony since 1972, in Toronto and New York and in retirement. I remember the sips of Scotch when we were able to solve all of the world's problems. These talks happened before dinner because Tony's rule was not to drink after he had eaten dinner. So we made sure we had enough before dinner.
Tony was a special friend and I will miss him and him British banter very much.

His Journey's Just Begun - Ellen Brenneman
Don't think of him as gone away
his journey's just begun,
life holds so many facets
this earth is only one.
Just think of him as resting
from the sorrows and the tears
in a place of warmth and comfort
where there are no days and years.
Think how he must be wishing
that we could know today
how nothing but our sadness
can really pass away.
And think of him as living
in the hearts of those he touched...
for nothing loved is ever lost
and he was loved so much.
Our Deepest Sympathy,
Kerry and Rudy
