Obituary of Helen C. Andreano
Helen C. Andreano, of Rockaway Township, formerly of Montague, passed away peacefully with her loving daughters and sister by her side on Friday, April 5, 2019 at Merry Heart Home in Succasunna. She was 81 years young.
Born and raised in East Orange to the late John and Vera Cifelli, she started her family in Lake Hiawatha, and raised them in East Hanover before retiring to Montague with her late husband, Alfred. While in Montague, she was a devout member of Parish of the Immaculate Conception, St. Mary’s Church in Port Jervis, NY. At St. Mary’s, she was very active; she participated in all events including tricky trays, confirmations, and breakfast and dinners for the priests, to name a few. Above anything else, Helen was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother. Her family was her first priority and she was the true Matriarch of our family. She loved cooking and hosting family dinners, took great pride in making every holiday extra special, and never missed a birthday. Helen was always dressed to nines with the jewelry to match and a smile and the energy to light up any room that she walked in to. She was a classy woman that taught us the true definition of unconditional love. The memories that she gave us will live on for generations to come.
Predeceased by her beloved husband Alfred, she leaves only joyful memories to her adored daughters, Marie Ricciardelli and her husband John and Victoria Sullivan and her husband Eric; her cherished granddaughters, Nicole Ricciardelli, Danille Ricciardelli, and Emma Sullivan; her caring sister, Barbara Montana and her husband Russ; her loving nephew, Christopher Montana and his wife Rosa and their children, Christopher, Jr. and Rosario; and her worshiped grandpups, Toby, Odie, Norman, Sasha, and Getty.
Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Wednesday, April 10th at 10 am at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, 15 Myers Ave., Denville. Burial will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover. Relatives and friends are welcome to celebrate Helen’s life on Tuesday, April 9th from 4 – 7 pm at Norman Dean Home for Services, 16 Righter Ave., Denville. Memorial Donations are being accepted by way of www.inmemof.org to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Please leave a condolence, light a candle, and share a special memory of Helen for her family.
