Obituary of Georgiann DiGangi
Georgiann DiGangi, of West Palm Beach, FL, formerly of Hamburg, NJ, passed away peacefully with her loving husband by her side on August 28, 2018. She was 77 years young.
Born and raised in Paterson to the late Charles and Yvonne McCaba, she was one of two children. She married the love of her life, Leonard DiGangi in Decemeber of 1960 and together they started a family while living in Paterson. Shortly after they relocated to Sussex County, where they remained until retirement to West Palm Beach, FL. Georgiann was a devout Christian. While in NJ, she attended and was very active at the Baptist Church in Hardyston. She also held Bible Study in her home. While in FL, she was a member of Christ Fellowship Church. First and foremost, her family was the most important thing in her life. Georgiann will be remembered for the magnificent wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend that she was for an eternity.
Predeceased by her brother-in-law, Victor DiGangi, she leaves only joyful memories to her beloved husband of nearly 58 years, Leonard DiGangi; her caring son-in-law, Michael Ayres; her devoted sister, Arlene Sapperstein and her husband Arthur; her loving brother-in-law, Frank DiGangi and his wife Dawn; and her sisters-in-law, Carol DiGangi and Frances DiGangi.
On March 24, 2019, Georgiann’s daughter, Susan Barbara Ayers, was called home to be with her mother. Although we will miss them both dearly, we take comfort in knowing they are together again.
On Thursday, March 28th, we will be celebrating both Georgiann and Susan with a celebration of life to take place at 7 pm at Norman Dean Home for Services. Memorial Donations are being accepted to St. Joseph’s Indian School by way of www.inmemof.org. Please leave a condolence, light a candle, and share a special memory of Georgiann.
