Obituary of Mary Dlugasch
"You can always tell where a beautiful soul has been by the tears and the smiles left behind."
Mary Dlugasch passed peacefully on Tuesday, March 12, 2019. She shared 91 years of love and kindness with everyone she knew. Most of us remember Mary fondly as a waitress at the Denville Diner. Friends and relatives may visit on Sunday, March 17th from 2-5 pm at the Norman Dean Home For Services, Denville. A time to share memories will begin at 4 o’clock. Donations in her name may be made to the good work of Compassionate Care Hospice.
Mary was born in October of 1927 and was the thirteenth child to bless her family. As the baby of the group, she had many loving and caring siblings growing up in Elizabeth. After her schooling she married and started a family of her own. She raised two children and was the proudest Grandma to five grandchildren. Recently she was crowned Great Grandma to two little ones.
For those who knew Mary, you knew she was always beautiful and put together. She took much pride in her clothing and her home. She had immaculate taste and loved to decorate. She was a regular at the Barbara Jean boutique and at A&R in Denville. She also enjoyed cooking and sharing her table with as many family and friends that could gather. She was always concerned about everyone over herself.
Mary’s greatest source of joy has always been her family. The sun rose and set on her grandchildren and her loyal beloved pup Rylee. Although we are saddened by her passing, we celebrate her and are grateful for all of the memories we have and smiles she brought to our faces.
She leaves her children Susan Calantone-Rieselman and Lewis Dlugasch (Lisa); her grandchildren Cara Marucci (Rocco), Erica Rieselman, Ryan Lathrop, Mollie Dlugasch (Chris Orihuela), Olivia Dlugasch (Zachary Bly); her great grandchildren Anthony Marucci and Aryanna Stevens; her pup Rylee; sister Antoinette Petrillo and many more dear friends, relatives and acquaintances. Her husband Bernard Dlugasch; son in law William Rieselman and eleven of her siblings passed previously.
