Dennis Parlato passed peacefully at his home on Friday, March 8th after a long bout with Parkinsons.  He shared 69 years of love and strength with his family and friends.  A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 12th at 10:00 am at Sacred of Heart of Jesus Parish, Dover.  Visiting hours will be held on Monday, March 11th from 4-8 pm at the Norman Dean Home For Services, Denville.  Interment to take place at a later date at the Northern NJ Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Sparta.  Donations in his name may be made to the good work of the Friends of The Randolph Pound, c/o Town Hall, 502 Millbrook Avenue
Randolph, NJ 07869.  Please share your memories here.  His family will cherish them forever.

Dennis was born in Brooklyn to the late Ferdinand and Carmela.  After his schooling, he was drafted and served our country in Vietnam.  Upon his honorable discharge, he returned to the states and attended college to further his education.  In 1985 he married his sweetheart Madeline Wahlert. They moved to Highland Lakes, NJ and later settled in Rockaway.  Dennis was always very active.  He was an avid bicyclist and skier.  He enjoyed pool, sky diving and watching baseball.  He loved to travel and take trips to Atlantic City.  His greatest accomplishment was his family.  He adored his wife and the sun rose and set on his daughter Kierstin.  Although we are saddened by his passing, we take comfort in knowing he is at peace and watching over them with love.

He leaves beautiful memories to his wife Madeline of 34 years; his daughter and her fiancée Kierstin and Mike Wichoski and his loyal feline Chihully.
