Obituary of Cynthia Ann Chlopik

Please share a memory of Cynthia to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Cynthia Ann Douglas Chlopik of Stroudsburg, Pa, passed away on Sunday, February 17, 2019.  She was only 50 years young.

Born in Lansdale, Pa. she was raised in Dover, NJ and Mountain Lakes, NJ. She graduated from Mountain Lakes High School and attended Dover Business College.  She went on to work for several law firms, always achieving highest praise for her talent and dedication. She really excelled at her  latest job at Dun and Bradstreet in Center Valley, Pa., where she advanced to Team Leader of a research group.

Cyndi was an artist and a writer.  She was brilliant but goofy.  She was thoughtful, helpful and tried hard to please everyone.  She loved her dogs and her humans with abandon.  She was a fierce defender of her ideas.  She adored her sons and her little girl.

Cyndi struggled in recent years with physical and emotional issues due to bi-polar disease.   It is difficult not to define her life without this disease but, please remember the beautiful smile which could light up a room, the devoted mother, sister, aunt and friend.  She was the keeper of the fairy dust which she sprinkled on all of us.

Left to continue her legacy are her beloved parents Duncan and Judy (nee McGlynn) Douglas of Rockaway Twnsp., her children, Nicholas (Nicole) Rummell, LeeAnne Chlopik, and Christopher (Kendra) Corcoran, her grandchildren Michael, Matthew and Mackensie Corcoran, her loving siblings, Bonnie Douglas and Edward (Kymberly) Douglas and many extended family and friends.

Public Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 24th from 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 at Norman Dean Home for Services, 16 Righter Ave., Denville, NJ 07834. Burial will be private. Memorial Donations are being accepted in her memory to DBSA by way of http://www.dbsalliance.org/. Please leave a condolence, share a special memory, and light a candle to let Cyndi’s light shine on.
