Agnes was one of nine children to bless Robert and Mary Harriott.  She was born in Mamaroneck, NY in March of 1928.  After her schooling she married George Carpenter and the couple settled in Mahwah, NJ where they started a family of their own.  She worked as a librarian for some time before becoming an aide in the local elementary school.  She retired after many years of dedicated service and was able to then travel the world.  She and George traveled extensively for many years before he became ill. After his passing she moved to Lincoln Park where she made friends quickly. She was an active member of the Seniors, taking part in many trips and activities.  She also enjoyed reading and watching British television shows.  Above all, she was a wonderful Mother and proud Grandma.  She would brag of the kids often and loved them so very much.  Although we are saddened by her passing, we take comfort in knowing she is reunited with George and watching over her family with love.

Predeceased by her husband George Carpenter Jr.; she leaves beautiful memories to her children Karen Leggett (William), Paula Bello (Dominick), George W. III (Cyndi), Timothy (Laura) and Scott; her grandchildren Stephanie Bello Kurtz, Dominick Bello III, Trevor & Molly Carpenter; her great grandchildren Wesley and Lucas Kurtz; and her siblings Edward, Alice and Mary Ann.
