Obituary of Marie E. Will

Please share a memory of Marie to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Marie E. Will, passed peacefully on January 23, 2019.  She shared 88 years of love and friendship with all who knew her.  A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, January 28th at 12:30 pm at the Norman Dean Home For Services, 16 Righter Ave. Denville.  Friends may visit beginning at 11:30 that morning.  Following the service, entombment will take place at Locust Hill Mausoleum, Dover.  In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be made to the good work of the Marcella Fire Company #3 Ladies Auxiliary, 20 Upper Hibernia Road, Rockaway Twp. , NJ 07866 or to the Market Street Mission, 9 Market Street, Morristown, NJ 07960.

Born in Dover to the late William Verrinder and Marion Egbert, Marie was one of two daughters to Marion.  She was the sole student in her graduating “class” at Marcella School in the 8th grade. This turned into a funny story for the remainder of her life.  After HS graduation in Rockaway, Marie married her sweetheart Thomas P. Will. They settled in Marcella where they raised five children and made a good life.  She donated her time as a Den Mother, she typed for the Marcella Mountaineer and started the Fire Company #3 Ladies Auxiliary in Marcella.  She worked for Picatinny soldering bombs, later at KDM School in the cafeteria- a job which she loved, but above every role she ever had, the one of Mom was her favorite.  The sun rose and set on her children, and even their friends.  The Will door was always open and she truly served as the “neighborhood Mom”.  She was always cooking and baking and feeding the kids, and frankly, was quite good at it!  She was the proud Grandma to thirteen and Great Grandma to thirteen little ones with some even on the way! Although we are saddened by her passing, we take comfort in knowing that this family Matriarch is watching over us with joy and pride.

Predeceased by her husband Thomas; and her sister Patricia Jones; she leaves beautiful memories to her children Thomas Jr. (Karen), Robert (JoAnn), Jeffrey (Mary), Robin Stefaniuk (Paul) and Darlene Sopko (Michael); her grandchildren Mark Will, Todd Will, Christy Castle, Stacie Will, Timothy Will, Gene Manzini, Mandy Gee, Shannon Will, Jennifer Stefaniuk, Catherine Stefaniuk, Jason Stefaniuk, Eric Mazurkiewicz and Justin Ragucci; thirteen great grandchildren and a couple on the way (no we aren’t telling who..); and many more dear friends, relatives and neighbors.
