"You can always tell where a beautiful soul has been by the tears and the smiles left behind."

Lenore Ann Eckert passed suddenly on Friday, January 11, 2019 at her home.  She shared 67 years of love and joy with everyone she knew.  A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 17th at 11 am at the Norman Dean Home For Services, 16 Righter Avenue, Denville.  Friends and relatives may visit on Wednesday, January 16th from 4-8 pm.  Donations in her name may be made to the good work of 11th Hour Rescue by way of www.inmemof.org  Please share your memories here.  Nore’s family will cherish them forever.

Nore was born in 1952 in Center, Co.  She attended Southern Colorado State and after graduation she secured a job as a flight attendant with United Airlines.  She loved being a flight attendant as it afforded her opportunities to see new places and meet wonderful people along her journey.

It was on a flight where she met Eugene Eckert. After a whirlwind romance, they married in 1976.  They lived in California, then Verona, finally settling in Denville where they raised their boys and always considered it home.  Nore was an amazing wife and Mom. Her family came first- always.   The sun rose and set on her children and she certainly was the world’s most devoted wife and mother. In recent years, Lenore was crowned the title of Nanny and that changed everything!  The little ones were the center of her universe and she bragged about them to anyone who would listen.

Nore was an amazing friend.  She only saw the best in others and was always there to help in some way.  She radiated joy and grace and her smile lit up any room.    Although we are broken hearted by her passing, we take comfort in knowing she is watching over her family with love and pride.

She leaves only beautiful memories to her husband Gene of 45 years; her sons Colin (Nicole) and Grant (Laura); her adored grandbabies Madelyn, Evan and Olivia; her brother Norman Smith; her loyal pup Gracie; Boots the cat; and so many more loving relatives, friends and acquaintances. Her parents Norman and Margaret and her brother David passed previously.
