Obituary of Jessica Paige Miscik

"You can always tell where a beautiful soul has been by the tears and the smiles left behind."

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Jessica Miscik.  She passed peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Friday, December 28th.  She shared 54 years of love and laughter with all who knew her.  Memorial Visitation will take place on Friday, January 4, 2019 from 5-7 pm at the Norman Dean Home For Services.  In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be made to the good work of the MS Society. 

Jessica was born in Passaic to the late Sheldon and Arleen Abrams. After some college, she then went on to work for Barbizon. It was there that she met Richard Miscik.  After a whirlwind romance, the couple married and settled in Rockaway to start a family of their own.  Jessica was an incredible wife and mother.  Despite having the challenges of MS she never failed to be extraordinary.  She was upbeat- always and extremely outgoing.  She was always the brightest light in a room. 

When the kids were older she started donating much of her time as a volunteer at St. Clare’s Hospital.  She loved being there and meeting new people each day.  If you met Jessica, you were never going to forget her.  She was the definition of a “people person”.  

Above everything; her family was her greatest joy.  She adored her husband and partner, Rich and the sun rose and set on her children. She was over the moon to become a Grandma two and a half years ago; and even more elated to find out that there are more babies on the way!  

Although we are saddened by her passing; we take comfort in knowing she is dancing above us all and watching over her family with love and pride. 

She leaves a lifetime of beautiful memories to her husband Richard of 34 years; her daughter Samantha Domanico (Joseph); her son Ricky (Kristina Mikheyeva); her grandson Rocco Domanico; sisters Vicki Motz and Lydia Keidel; nieces and nephews Meredith Motz, Cara Keidel, Ryan Miscik and Ronnie Hamilton; her loyal felines Poopers, Phoebe and Reggie; and many more dear relatives, friends and acquaintances.
