Obituary of Donald J. Blasi

Please share a memory of Donald to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Donald Blasi passed peacefully on Thursday, December 20, 2018.  He shared 65 years of love and friendship with all who knew him. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 26th from 3-6 pm at the Norman Dean Home For Services, 16 Righter Avenue, Denville.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, Dec. 27th at 10 am at Assumption Church, 91 Maple Ave. Morristown, NJ.  Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.  Please light a candle or share your memories here.

Donald was born on June 18, 1953 to Charles and Helen Blasi.  He attended Harrison schools and then became a groundskeeper for the Town of Harrison for 25 years. He took great pride in his work and enjoyed the interaction with his peers, friends and neighbors each day. He loved puzzles, country music and sports. Donald was a loyal fan to his beloved NY Giants and NY Rangers. Above all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and extended family in Teaneck where he resided at NIPD for the past 14 years.   Donald taught us many things, especially, real love.  Although we are saddened by his passing, we take comfort in knowing he is watching over us during this Christmas season.

Predeceased by his Father Charles; he is survived by his loving Mother Helen (nee Flynn); siblings Charles (Ole), Eileen Verdi (the late John), Patricia Casey (James) and Nancy Kennedy; many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and dear friends.
