Florence Suk

Obituary of Florence M. Suk

Please share a memory of Florence to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Florence Marie Suk, of Denville, passed away peacefully on December 8, 2018 at St. Clare’s Hospital in Denville. She was 95 years young.

Born in Netcong, to the late George & Addie Neuhaus, she has lived in Denville since the age of 8. She married the love of her life, Charles J. Suk in 1939 and raised 4 beautiful children. Florence was a member of the Denville Community United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the Mother’s Club for the Order of DeMolay. Florence was the mother of all mothers; she did it all from cooking, baking, yard work, and had a fresh garden of flowers and vegetables. She also enjoyed a good card game, her favorite being Pinochle. Above anything else, her grandchildren were her first priority. She made sure to attend every game of theirs, basketball, baseball, and soccer. She was definitely a one of kind wife, mother, grandmother, and friend and will sorely be missed.

Predeceased by her beloved husband, Charles J. Suk, Sr. and beloved children, Charles J. Suk, Jr., and Florence-Marie Fruend, and loving siblings, Rose, Elizabeth, Frank, and Rusty, she leaves only joyful memories to her caring children, Matthew C. Suk of Denville and Jacqueline Colvert and her husband Tom of Vermont; her cherished grandchildren, Shawn Suk and his wife Leia, Matthew C. Suk, Jr. and his fiancé Amy, Richard Freund, Jr., Christopher Freund, Janet Freund, Diane Suk, and Steve Suk; her dear daughter-in-law, Diane Suk; and many other extended family and friends.

Public Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 12th from 4 – 8 pm at Norman Dean Home for Services. Funeral Service will take place on Thursday, December 13th at 10 am at Norman Dean Home for Services. Burial will follow at Denville Cemetery, Denville.
