Please share your memories here. Elaine’s family will cherish them forever.
Elaine was born in 1956 to the late Esther and Nils Egeland. She grew up in Rockaway Township and after HS, she attended Parsons School of Design, graduating in 1979. She was a talented artist and framer. She loved to paint and draw and sold a variety of her works through the years. The walls of her home are ones to be admired. Most recently she worked for Michael’s as Manager of their framing Dept. When she wasn’t at work or creating something lovely, she enjoyed bird watching. Above all, being a Mom was her greatest joy. The sun rose and set on her children and she was so proud of their accomplishments. She fought a good fight these past few years and her family and faith were certainly her greatest sources of strength in this world. Although we are saddened by her passing, we take comfort in knowing we have an Angel watching over us and continuing to guide us down the road ahead.
She leaves the brightest palette of memories to her husband Roy Provost; her adored children Thomas and Madeleine Provost; her siblings Kenneth (Susan) Egeland, Turid (Jon) Rudge, and Joanie (Joe) O’Connor; her nieces and nephews Kevin, Kyle and Erin Egeland, Derek, Trevor and Ian Rudge and Danielle, Joey and Steven O’Connor; her mother in law Mary Provost; her two loyal felines Charley and Bean and many more dear friends, relatives and art enthusiasts.
"You can always tell where a beautiful soul has been by the tears and the smiles left behind."
